I thought I was going to work on this over the summer, but honestly, I have lost interest. Here's what I want to offload: Erfurt 98 Mauser barreled action (Chambered in 8X57 Mauser) Military barrel that has had a front sight installed. Bore is shiny and looks good. Sporter bolt handle has been installed. It has also been drilled and tapped for a receiver sight. Walnut stock to fit the action. About 90% finished. It has been notched to accommodate a receiver sight. No recoil pad, but 14.25" LOP there is plenty of room to cut back and add one. 22" barrel threaded for a 98 mauser chambered in 243 WIn. Nice bore, but the muzzle is boogered up where a sight was likely removed. $200 for the barreled action $75 for the stock $50 for the .243 barrel Take everything pictured for $250 North of Tucson.

The safety is the original military style safety. It will not work with a scope. If one did want to drill and tap this action for scope mounts, I do have access to a jig to do so and would gladly lend it out.

What PRDATR said. I have send a few older Leupolds back for repairs/cleaning over the years. They have either fixed the scope and sent it back, or sent me a comparable replacement. Process usually takes 4-6 weeks.

Are you interested in actually purchasing the rifle or are you just helping me sell it? That said... Yes I do have a bore scope. Rifling is strong throughout with no signs of corrosion. Throat is dirty, but no significant erosion. There is a bronze sheen on some sections of the lands, indicating that a couple of passes with a good copper solvent would be prudent. Very good to excellent for a 60 year old rifle.
