Great deals on both of those firearms! Why do these kinds of things come up when I've already blown my "toy budget" for the year???
-
A leupold 1-4 or 1.5-5X20 would be nice on a 30/30

I bought those 25's from Griz..... Yes, they were a great deal! Very good for looking at the moon at night, but too heavy for hauling around in the hills. I did use them glassing off the road from time to time, but found myself going to my Leica 12X50s more often. Ended up selling them on Fleabay for a little more than I paid... Like the general consensus here, 1100 is way too much for those Binos. With that kind of dough I woudl think you could get better glass......

What is the model number on the tripod? Head? I might be interested. Thanks, couesdeer

Ditto on the H4831sc with 110s - 120s... Outstanding results!

Too good of a deal to pass up! I'll take them! PM on the way!

I can't believe nobody has taken that puppy off your hands yet! Wish I weren't overextended as it is.... Someone's going to get a great deal here!

I can dig this... I'm looking for a remington 700 (ADL preferred) in 264/7mm/300/338 mag for another 257WBY project. Mcmillan or Ti stock for the same. Problem is funds are low at this time. I do have a remington 78 (predecessor to the wal-mart plain jane 700 ADLs) in 30-06 and a Rem. model 7 mcmillan stock for trade (woodland camo molded in).... Might also trade a sendero in 7mm Ultra for the right rifle/stock combo........ Oh yeah, I have also have a leupold M8 6x42 heavy duplex too... Give me enough time and I'm sure I can come up with even more goodies.

Zeiss VM/V Diavari 2.5-10x50 Excellent condition. 30mm tube, #8 reticle. Only mounted once. Covered by the Zeiss lifetime warranty. VM/V model with *T coatings. Simply awesome scope. I will include a set of Leupold 30mm rings with this scope. $975 shipped, or pick it up (Tucson area) for $950.

Last Saturday, I killed my fall turkey with a Benelli nova, some kind of add-on turkey choke (I forget the manufacturer). Winchester 3 1/2" loads with 2 1/2 oz #5 shot. 40 yards, decent sized tom (16 lbs dressed out and plucked). What a rush! That bird went down fast!

100 Gr nosler partitions in front of a decent charge of h4831 has been my "go to" load.

Can't speak from too much experience here, as I have only had one coues' mount done. However after looking at the work of several taxidermists, I chose Bud Weller in Tucson. Fantastic work and helluva nice guy to boot!

I'd look for a used Leupold Vari-XIII 3.5-10X40 or VX-II 3-9X40. Great all-around scopes, and can be found fairly inexpensively if you're willing to go second-hand. If you must have a new scope, look at the weaver grand slams. Fantastic glass for the $. Again, 3-10x40 would be a good all-around pick.

having a fire while hunting?
Couesdeer replied to muledeerarea33?'s topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
I love the comfort that a campfire adds. Part of the experience. I guess thats why I can't ever seem to find deer.. I smell! -
I no longer have a 7mm mag, so this stuff is gathering dust. This would be an inexpensive way for someone who shoots 7mm Rem to get into reloading. RCBS RS3 reloading press RCBS reloading dies 7mm rem. 3 die set (includes neck and full length sizer) 20 rounds of loaded ammo (160 Gr partition) 40 rounds of loaded ammo (139 Gr Hornady SP Moly coated) 10 peices on 1x fired Winchester brass One load book, The Complete Reloading Manual for the 7mm Remington Mag. This is all located in Tucson $75 takes it all

Muzzeloader Question
Couesdeer replied to azbownunter22's topic in Muzzleloader hunting for Coues Deer
I'm pretty new to muzzleloading and am enjoying learning the the different aspects this hobby/obsession. My current setup is a hand-me-down Knight Wolverine with a Leupold 2.5-8x36 atop. I have only been working with Barnes 285 gr expander MZs and 295 gr powerbelts. With 100 gr of pyrodex pellets, both give me about 1.5-3 inches at 100 yds, but the Barnes strike the target about 7 inches higher than the powerbelts. Haven't run them theough the chronograph yet, but I'm sure the barnes will be flying significantly faster. -

Couesdeer replied to anthonyrmatthews's topic in Muzzleloader hunting for Coues Deer
I drew a 6a south early bull Elk ML hunt.... This will be my first ML hunt as well as my first bull elk hunt. I'm very excited! -
No antelope, but I did draw my first bull tag, 6a South Muzzleloader. Last time I hunted elk (cow) was in '00. Since then I have only been applying for bull tags. Good luck to all of you!
