  1. After a few years of looking at everybody's trailcam pics and thinking it would be a fun, I finally purchased a pair of trailcams. I set them out on a game trail far enough off the road that i thought they should be safe.

Two weeks later, I have a 65 photos on the first cam and 25 on the second. Almost all of them were of wind blowing brush. I did get a few animals. The buck pics were eight days apart almost the same time of day.

I reset both cams in different spots. with any luck I'll have some more photos to share in a couple of weeks.

  2. Here are some better pics.

There are a couple of issues with the scope. It does have a scratch on the eyepiece lens. It never affected its functionality, but it is there. Also at one point, the scope slid back in the rings causing some of the finish to scratch off.

    Here are some better pics...

  3. Because I just don't use this pistol at all, I have a Ruger Super Redhawk that I'd like to sell.

44 mag, 7.5" barrel. Trigger job, rings and a 1.5-4X20 Pentax LER scope. I purchased it new and have put just over 350 rounds through it.

I'd like $550 for the pistol and scope. ($575 if I'm shipping the pistol)

I can also offer the buyer first chance at factory ammo, RCBS carbide dies, brass, and bullets for .44 mag.

  4. I'd like to sell my Mossberg 1500 (identical to Howa 1500).

Short action, chambered in 22-250, 22" sporter contour barrel, floated in a B&C medalist stock, timney trigger set at 2.5 lbs. Very good condition. some of the coating has chipped off the edges of the triggergurd, but otherwise, great shape.

I have owned it for about three years and put just over 100 rounds through it. Shoots 55 grain NBTs over H380 very well.

I'd like $550 for the rifle, which includes shipping and insurance. Obviously, I'll knock an appropriate amount off the price for a FTF deal.

  5. I came across this thread this morning and decided to pick up some Spitz dill on the way home from work... You guys weren't kidding. They are good! Hopefully they'll take my mind of the Skoal (a habit I'm desperately trying to break!)

I had alway eaten Davids and nothing else, but after trying them, the Spitz are a better seed.

  6. No experience with cherokees, but I had a '97 Grand Cherokee limited (all the bells and whistles) I bought it used with about 50K miles on it and sold it right at 100K miles.

I found the 5.2L V8 to be a good runner. No problems with it or the transmission during its stay in my possession. Mileage was fair. As I recall, it would usually give me just under 15 MPG. (I have a newer Tahoe with more enguine (5.7L) that gets 16-17 regularly.... Newer vehicle, most likely better technology...)

What I didn't care for was that it seemed that every time I turned around, I was relacing one of the "options" (moonroof controller, electric seat adjuster, A/C compressor crapped out on me, rear wiper motor, ABS control module, etc.) BTW that ABS part was quite pricey, not to mention the cost of having it installed. $1200 or so total.

If I were to do it over again, I'd opt for a something more like TAM's 6 cylinder cherokee with fewer options to have to worry about.
