Hey all, I am in the market for binoculars and I need them quick as I just sold my Zeiss. I am looking for Swarovski 10's at the moment. 10x42 or 10x50, either works for me. Let me know what you have. My price range will more then likely put me in the used SLC category, but that is fine with me. I have checked ebay, but I am always skeptical of buying anything there. I know the good folks here at CWT are honest and won't sell me crap. PM or email, whichever you prefer. lanoue25@yahoo.com Thanks again. Blake

What are the specs on the bow?? Draw length specifically. My neighbor is looking for a new bow. Thanks.

Swarovski 15's and 10x50's are on my want list!!

Yeah, I am not worried about my image. I think this is a great idea and more people should get involved with it. Heck, at least get some pink vanes!! When I bought my Trykon last year I went to both my local archery shops to get pink blazer vanes. Neither of them had any and both told me that Bohning didn't make pink. If I don't go with the Victory arrows, I am going to get the pink vanes. According to that link, Bohning does make them. Have fun in Texas!

...ooops, Just found it on the link. Garth, What do you think about the arrows? They shoot well?
-
Stupid question here, What brand arrows are they? Or, are they any brand that you already shoot, but dipped? I think this is a great idea and I am all for doing it, but just need to get some more info on the actual arrows.

Hey Tony, My dad lives right there on E. Desert Vista, just north of Dynamite. Their house also backs up to a wash. He and my stepmom walk every day and they have had several encounters with bobcats in those washes. They have also had pigs and coyotes walk down there street in front of the house. They haven't had any animals actually enter their yards though. That would be something else to witness!!

I did mine on my birthday in 2006. I went with Barnett Dulaney Perkins as well. Price was right at 4K. Expensive, yes, but my eyesight was not something that I was going to start "bargain shopping" with. I love it and would recommend it to anyone. I can't remember the doctor's name, but the guy who does all the Lasik procedures for some of our local professional sports teams is available to the public as well. He is cheaper than 4K.

Late last night, I decided that I would head out this morning and try to get a few stands in before this snow storm came rolling through today. I made it out to a new area that I have been wanted to try and I am glad I did. I didn't really beat the storm, but decided to make some calls anyway. First stand was at 7:40 AM. Wind out of the east around 10mph or so and blowing some rain. Nothing on that set. Second set looked like this. I was actually trying to get set up on the ridge all the way in the back of the photo, but as you can see, the snow had started coming down pretty good there, so I set up real quick to beat it. I had the caller in front of me about 50 yards. The wind was blowing right to left so I was concentrating more to my left to catch the coyote coming in from downwind. I had the call going for about 5 minutes or so and decided to turn it off. About 2-3 minutes later, this male shows up on a dead run straight downwind from my right!! Go figure! No need to worry, though, since he had already gone by the area where he would have winded me. I must have confused him when I turned the caller off because he never slowed down a bit. He ran right by the caller about 3 feet away. I can only guess that he thought he still had a ways to go before "breakfast". I gave him a bark and he stopped dead in his tracks and looked my way. Too late!!! One well placed neck shot and it was over. Good thing too, because right after the photo session, the snow caught up to me and I could barely see 20 feet walking back to the truck. This picture is a little out of focus. I was using the timer on my camera and it focused on something other than me!! haha I managed two other stands, but the weather was terrible by then and it was time for me to get back home. _________________

Yeah, I don't normally go when the wind is blowing, but I figured what the heck. I am going to be busy for the next several weekends and didn't know if I was going to get out at all before the Antelope Eaters hunt in March. Glad I did though!! This yote reminded me that just as soon as you think you have them figured out, they fool you. This guy not only came in while the wind was blowing hard and snowing, but he also came straight in with the wind, instead of circling downwind first.

Sounds like a good deal for someone in the market. How does one go about finding out how much this series of binoculars is worth?? I have the same pair, only 7x42 that I would like to sell.

I have a Ruger Mark II 7MM Mag topped with a Nikon 3x9x40 scope that I would let go for $500. Rifle is in excellent shape and the scope is brand new ($260 retail). I mounted it on another rifle, sighted it in and decided to put it on the 7mm mag instead. I haven't even sighted it in yet. Synthetic stock, stainless barrel. Ruger rings and bases, three stage trigger, hinged floor plate. I know it's a larger caliber rifle than he is looking for, but I thought I would throw it out there. If he is interested, email me at lanoue25@yahoo.com and I can send him some pictures.

Christian. I have been wanting to do a hunt like this for some time, but haven't yet. I suppose I just never found the right person to do it with. I will send you an email.

I recently pulled the trigger and bought a Rhino, so I am now selling my Polaris. 2005, green, street legal, front rack with gun holder. It is street legal as well. 743 miles and 61.8 hours. I take very good care of my hunting equipment and this bike is no exception. It gets washed every time I use it and is always garage kept. I have it on Craigslist for $5500. I have it up for sale on AZOD as well and am offering it to anyone there for $5000. I will extend this offer to everyone here on CWT as well. Please email me with any questions you have. Thanks for looking.

I am posting this for a buddy of mine. He is actively looking for a 30.06 as we speak. He is looking for a Remington ADL or BDL, or a Savage 110. If the price is right, he is ready to buy right now. Let me know if you have one for sale or might know of one for sale. He also has a Remington .223 for sale. I think it's the VSF. It's the one with the spider-web synthetic stock and the bull barrel. If you are interested, let me know and I can get some pictures for you. Thanks for looking and happy holidays to all! Blake

I recently purchased a Rhino and now I am searching through the myriad of online stores for my accessories. I figured I would ask you all what your thoughts are. I am looking for any opinions you may have on the products that you currently have on your Rhino, things you really like, or things you wish you had. Even stuff to stay away from. I am currently in the market for a back seat, a top, and a windshield. Those are my priority items for now. The rest is just fun stuff!! The biggest question I have right now is what windshield to get. Full, half or fold down? Anyone have any experiences with any?? Thank you!

Thanks Clay!! I really like that bike you have. I may end up owning one, but not until this summer at the earliest.

Thanks CouesAZ! I have heard about dust problems the more you enclose the cab. Any idea on how good the rear dust shields work???

Here are my girls, Jette and Hannah Here is Jette after a marathon "ball playing" session! She was pooped! Caught in the act!! Sleeping on mom's patio furniture last winter...so busted! haha

David, I own the Savage .270 WSM and I love it!! I won it at the Antelope Eaters hunt a couple years ago. It really shoots good right out of the box. I am shooting the 150g Winchester Ballistic Tips at about half inch groups at 200 yards. I may change bullets due to the extreme damage on my coues deer from this year, but that does give you some insight on how well the gun shoots.

I have a Ruger MarkII 7 Mag for sale, but it's not a lefty. It is deadly accurate well beyond 500 yards if needed. If you can't find a lefty and start looking elsewhere, shoot me a PM and we can talk. I will give you a great deal, since it just sits in my safe. Good luck in your search.

You are going to get a TON of different responses to this one. Everyone is going to recommend the bow that they shoot and tell you why. Nothing wrong with listening to them, but you really need to get a bow that really "fits" you. I shoot a Hoyt, but a Hoyt may not "fit" you. You may be best suited with a Mathews or PSE or some other brand. Best advice I could give is to get into your local archery shop and shoot as many bows as they will let you. You will know which one is the right one just by shooting it. It will just feel right compared to all the other bows. I shot a Mathews for many years. I never shot any other bow and just assumed because it was a Mathews that I was shooting a good bow. Well, the bow was good, but it wasn't really right for me. Last year I picked up a Hoyt and shot it and was amazed at the difference. I immediately shot better and then realized that all this time I was shooting a bow that just didn't fit my body and shooting style. I shot some other bows and the Hoyt was leaps and bounds better for me. It may not be true for everyone, but the Hoyt is a much better bow for me. Keep us updated on your search. Don't be afraid to ask a million questions either. Looking for a new bow could drive a guy crazy!! Good luck to you.

No worries. I have never met them, but like I said, my brother used to cut meat and do some taxidermy prep work for them. He speaks very highly of them both. As a former customer service manager for many years and now self employed, I get very agitated when problems like this are splattered all over the internet. It's just not the way to solve things, and it's certainly not fair for the business owner.
