There have been a few shows that I have seen on coues deer. Don't remember the name AND they are few and far between. Some of the shows are a little bit ridiculous. I particularly cannot stand when they do set up shots, act like they are in the heat of the moment, act like they are glassing or whatever, then pull the trigger and act all gitty like they just killed somethin'. TOTALLY faked out the kill shot just to get some type of action. Or, when they have the camera set up right behind the deer that was killed, have Hunter Dan walking looking for blood, then, WOW, surprise, theres the buck. WOOHOO. The camera found him before I did. Some of them are ridiculous, but I have to admit, that I do enjoy watching some big ol' bruiser bucks get taken out. So, my vote is to keep them on TV, even the cheesy ones that I mentioned above. They're all trying to promote our passion, just some in different ways than we are used to.

The type of hunting that we do for coues deer is quite different than other types of deer hunting from Texas-east. Simply too thick of cover, and lots of flat, flat land, not to mention lots of privately owned country. While I was in Alabama for a couple years, you had to either brave going into scarcely public land with tons and tons and tons of other hunters, or, pay your dues to hunt on a leased out section of land, or, be part of a hunting club that had access to private land. It's a different type of hunting. I am glad that we have the opportunity to hunt the ways that we do here in AZ. Lot's of public land with the ability to get away from crowds of people if you are willing to do some walking. I'm not too interested in the type of hunting that you described, but for some, that's all the opportunity they can get. I imagine if that's all I had, I would be out there doing the same thing. I'm just glad I don't have to

http://www.digitalfotoclub.com/sc/from-fro...fdate=10_9_2009 I love this tripod. Use my 15's on it and stand up to glass all the time. It does awesome in the wind, light weight, folds up small, super smooth head and sets up quick. Get a couple adapter plates for easy interchange between spotter and binoculars and its a smooth deal. I love it. I've also seen a vortex tripod that was pretty nice too. Don't have the link for it, but I understand it was relatively cheap, $150 range.

I am again selling some stuff for one of my brothers. These are his prices, if you are interested let me know via PM. These are on craigslist. Waders are brand-spanking new (I saw they are 149 + tax new) and the U-boat is brand new too, however, I think it sat in some sunlight somewhere and has faded a bit. There is some fraying on one of the straps, but it comes with flippers and a pump. Please no low ballers. Here are the links. http://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/spo/1386237913.html http://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/spo/1386233263.html

Its actually a naturally occurring compound. Na and Cl (elements) combine to create sodium chloride, which is the edible substance :P Just havin' fun

It's been rough the past few years IMO for your unit. Stockton pass will hold some deer and if the rut kicks in there could be some good bucks. This place will get hit pretty hard but if there's hot does the bucks will be cruisin so you never know. Swift trail will also be the same way, gets hit pretty good but there are some decent bucks you can find. Get off the roads and glass hard. Good luck

Haven't looked through the 12's but the 10's are pretty slick. I had a pair and they were definitely a good glass for the money. Doug at cameraland might have a good deal on them. His demo's and refurb's are as good as new. I've bought from him and haven't ever been disappointed. -

This is a great great day for him and his family. Thank God for watching over him and keeping him alive. It is great news to hear.

Congratulations on a great bull and great story! Sounds like that sucker had a will to survive didn't he?

I have one, bought it from Doug at Cameraland. They are a good scope. Pretty clear, slightly under par of a Swaro or Kowa scope. If you had the money, I would go with a Kowa. They are the best spotters. If money IS an issue, these Vortex Skylines are not a bad way to go. Call Doug and ask him about them (he is a sponsor of this site). He will give you a good rundown of what to expect. Good luck.
