I'm looking for a used Remington 700 long action for a magnum calibers!...it doesn't have to have the bolt or a trigger it could be stripped down but it would be a plus with trigger and bolt!.. Thanks !

Well taking my step daughter out for her first Deer hunt this coming weekend!...come to find out that its the first Jr hunt they are going to have in that unit!...never hunted in there before her first choice was 33 Oct, Jr hunt!.. but the more i find out about this hunt the more of a "Gem" it starting to look like!..I herd there are some nice Muleys and Whitetails in that unit!...so if any of you guys are going to the Jr deer camp Thursday ill be seeing you there!...hope to meet some of my fellow CouseWhitetail.com people!...stop by and say hi!!...good luck to every Jr hunter!!..cant wait to see and here the success story's !

This last weekend my buddy's and me where up in the Pinals hunting for Bear when my buddy Big John Felix glassed up this big bear coming up the ridge!...He thought it was one of those black cows we have been seeing everywhere!..when i saw this bear coming our way i knew he was big John got his rifle ready and at 234 yards put it right in the pumper! as we got closer to the down bear he kept growing and growing!!!...no ground shrinkage here!..WOW awesome bear!..after he checked him in with the Game & Fish they said he was a giant and a older bear around 16+ years old but after they pulled the the per-moller they will get an official age!..My buddy is 6'5" inches tall and weights 320 pounds so when you look at the bear on his back!!...well you can see for your self's! ...just want to give him a shout out for his first bear!..and man what a big one!....oh the pack out was brutal!..it was hot bugs eating us up and took half a day to get the meet out and the head and skin to the truck!

After a hard Bear Hunt! I decided to go hunt deer to relax!..i am one of those that put in everything in December across the board...and of course i didn't get drawn for nothing! Then when they posted what was left over and i seen they had a Butt load of Muzzle Loader tags in 33!.i sent in for one and got it!..but as everyone knows!!!.. after a couple of hunts in that unit they turn nocturnal or very skittishly!..so i was going to hunt harder in archery season!..and lady luck chimed in on me!... I put a stock on this nice little buck and stuck him at 35 yards!....

Snake Gators!..$40.00 bucks at Dick;s sporting! worth every penny!..saves a lot of money and hardship!!

Hey Kidso!...i wanted to ask your opinion on cub in distress calls on the ele, callers for bear to pull them out those deep thick canyons??

Awesome hunt!..and AWESOME BEAR!...I love to watch Hounds men work there dogs!..a lot of people don't understand the heart those dogs have!!..only to please there handler!!..they give everything!!.. heart, mind and soul to a RIG!..and as hunters like you!!.. we need to be on there butts like you did!..good job staying with them!...they needed you to seal the deal!..nice job Blake!..way to get it done!

Thanks guys!.....sometimes when the sun is cooking our brains out and the bugs are feasting on our body's....and nothing is moving out there!!...and the solunar table tells you to stay home because its a crappie day!...you ask your self why do i hunt in August for Bears?...THAT'S WAY!!!...and we will do it every year!...

its hard to say how long they will stay in one spot!...one thing about them they can travel and long distance if spooked!.. as long as there is food and water there is a good chance they might hang around!...but sometimes for whatever reason they just up and move on maybe because there taste buds change or another bigger bear in the area moves them out while passing through...but my best scouting is two days before the hunt!..hope that helps!!..happy hunting!...hope you knock one down!

Yup what Allen said! #1 ...i too was out there and there is a lot of fruit but they have not ripened yet!..they still like Allen said up in the Manzanutas!! and eating Acorns!..every bush and tree had Acorns good crop this year!

Here is some info for you from another thread!..: I remember reading or being told that certain electrical components give off an odor very much like an ant hill. Bears do feed on ants ( ever seen a torn up old log) Same reason they tear up appliances when they break/ get into camps. Is food short in the woods with this drought? Seems to be a good acorn crop here but perhaps it's not the same everywhere. No rain means little or no apples , same for blueberries. Food shortage could be the reason everybody's baits are getting hit so well......

I'm hunting in August to!!..im pumped!!....my special spot is call Bear Canyon!..you walk up about 2 miles and glass the basin of Bear Mountain!..LOL! ...just kidding i hunt 24-A in the Pinals Mountains!..best of luck!!..remember with bears Food+Water+Elevation+Cove+bear sign=Good Start"..where patty cactus meet cider trees and oak brush throw in a butt load of century plants with deep canyon next to it with water at the bottom (a seep or creek) because of Monsoons in August (we hope).. there should be small pools at the bottom where they cool of after eating the tunas off the cactus!...they get hot they go cool off then go back up on there favorite cactus patch!....hope this helps!...oh yeah glass until your eyes bleed!
