Well some people have a harsh stance on both side of the color spectrum!...i know people!! (an i am one of them) that like to "practic the long shot"! with a rifle an bow and arrow!!! i mean alot of hours with a bow!! 3D shoots etc,! with rifle!! alot of boxes of bullets!!....know your "bullet drop"! M/A stuff like that! I think ethics is every hunter responsibility! i know there are some people out there that needs to be educated in the "ethic feild!".... i belive "A MAN NEEDS TO KNOW HIS LIMITATIONS!! ! i hope this helps

yup i have to agree with double lunger14 the bucks are there! this last weekend was a bright moon that was out until 3:30 am !they really do bed before sun comes out!! then you have to shift to glassing from bush to bush on shady side looking for an ear flicker or some kind of movement! buck are very lazy at this time of year! an they get up two maybe three time's to strech before the afternoon or before dark ! hope that helps!

I just want to take the time and thank the Game & Fish as well!! on my up coming hunt i have in 31 & 32 for sheep! alot of people think im crazy for tryin to do it with out a guide!! but after talking with the area W/M! Devin.Ben an john! they have went up an beyond the call of duty!! the advise the maps the histroy about the sheep!!....my hats off to those guys! i couldnt do it with out them!!! .....another thing those PETA people out there are not helping the animals they hurt them!! i wish i could grab those PETA people an make them help clean up our desert down south! or build a drip system out in the middle of now where to help the animals through the hot dry summer!! . could go on but you guys know where im heading!!! ...sorry for the rant!

Well the scouting is startin to pick up! WOW! Me and my buddys found some real nice Rams up in a real rough canyon the pictures are very,very grainey but you can kind of tell they are nice! one ram i think well be in the 140 to 150 range that would be the one on the left the top right would go around 160 to165 ??what do you guys think?...he kept butting the smaller ram off the little rock pile or when he was bedded down kept runninng up to him an standing over him like if he was ''saying just move little boy an ill be on you like chilli pepper''!! its fun to watch if you look at on picture you will see another ewe bedded on the rocks! after we started looking around we found alot more sheep in the canyon and another big ,big ram that my buddy was lucky enough to get a picture of him but forgot to send it to me!!! two months away from my once of a life time dream hunt and im so pumped!! an i cant wait!!...sorry the pic's are not the best! but through bino's an cell phone you get what ya get !! lol thanks!!

Down in the lower part of the state the Desert Muledeer start rutting real hard around th end of December more so in January if i were you id get a tag for January!! that way you can pick you up a OTC left over pig tag an hunt then both at the same time!! lots of fun!! Then you can hunt Muledeer,Whitetail and pig all together!....just a thought!!! good luck!!

Hey those are AWSOME pictures!......i love elk! big ,little, short or tall!!....you know something becuse of how the game&fish manages our elk herds here in arizona we can make statments like what size turns us on!...on the other hand in all the other states all of those would be considered trophy animals!! we have it made here even tho, it takes for ever to get a tag!!! its worth it!! A TROPHY IS IN THE EYE OF THE BEHOLDER! keep sending the pictures!............just a thought! two years ago i won the first whitemountain contest for the longest spike!....it only had 13'' inch fuzzy spikes on it! it was my trophy!! an took home a custom rife made by Shamley arms!! killed a B&C antelope with that rifle!

locate where they bed! it might take a couple of days or it may just take one?? but when you do!! dont be affraid to flash lite in just below the beds becuse you dont want to push them out of country!! so slip in there while its still dark an wait for them to come to you!! watch the wind!! it blows down hill in cool morning an switches when it gets warm and blows up hill when heat rises!! there is a fine line between the wind shifts that could put right where you want to be so they never smell you! when you make your move to get in frount of them about 100 yards below there beds!! alot of sent killer will help but not 100% but you watch the wind when make your move ! and im not kidding you when you pull it of!f elk well walk right up to you!! dont move cow's are always first!! bull is at the end alway pushin the cows! but before they close the last 100 yards to bed! they will mill around and by that time wind should be blowing up hill in your face so you can smell there sweet order!! LOL! not everytime it works that way ! but make a game plan anyway!! just a thought!!...good luck!

Last year i took my antelope and bull elk to Porter Mountain in Show Low!i killed my bull off the 403 road an hauled butt to Porter Mountain!! killed my antelope in unit 2c up by Concho! it kepted all the way to Show Low!! the lady does a very wonderful job and the guy skins it out for you no extra charge!! i like the way if you ask them to hang it for 3weeks they will! it makes the meet more tender and taste better! and the way they wrap it! plactic first then paper it last for a long time! and you get alot more meet back then other places give you back!! hope that helps you out!! and good luck!!

Guys i never thought i'd say this!!! i got my desert bighorn sheep tag!!....wow! got the shakes,,hands went numb!! hot &cold flashes! wanted to gag!....that was in between trafic lights! my wife made me pull over so she could drive!!! i was scearing the you know what out of her!!! lol..thought i was having a heart attack!!.have any of you boys ever looked for the sheep in the units #31 & #32! i just need a place to start with! i cant afford a guide! i just bearly pay the bills! lol!....any info, would be wonderful!! I already tryed to contact W/M in the area! has not returned my call yet!! thanks agin!

just wondering if there were any isolated packets of our Merriams elk that might have mixed with the Jackson hole herd??? It could explain our hudge bulls we have hear?? just a thought tho,? ......dear to day dream!!
