    AZ Elk Video

For those of you already missing the elk rut, here's a link to a video I put together with some elk footage from the past 2 years. A special thanks to Smart Optix for their great products. Warning, it is kind of long. FYI, it was downloaded in 1080p HD, but for some reason I have to change that setting every time I watch it in youtube.

heard alot of bugles in Unit 1 this weekend

15+ bulls in 3c today on fire and in a frenzy.
  3. I use Smart Optix and I love it. If you can get over the size, it really is the best bang for your buck and it fits any phone or optics. Heck, I do not want to have to buy a new digiscope adapter every 2 years or less when I get a new phone. I believe they are selling these at Sportsmans now. FYI, the size and weight have never been an inconvenience and it is cheap compared to the phone scope.
  4. I use the smart optix disgiscpoing field guide. It is awesome and I can use it with my case on. It is a universal adapter that works for any phone with any case on any optics or spotting scope. I had the tines up adapter, but I didn't like that I had to glue it to my case. If I get a new phone then I can keep using the Smart Optix. I think it is the best digiscpoing tool out there and for the price, it is a no brainer. It cost me $60.00.

Desert Muley Video With Smart Optix

speedygoss, these deer were from 800-900 yards out.
  6. Here is some footage taken with my Smart Optix, smart phone and 15x50 binos. Some of it is shaky as I am still learning techniques to get greater quality footage. We came real close to killing these bucks, but they lived to see another day.

    Smart Optix

Like many of you, I enjoy getting pictures and footage of the animals I see. I recently started using an awesome new product called Smart Optix which allows users to film wildlife through binoculars or a spotting scope using any smart phone. The great thing about this is that anyone that has a smart phone and binoculars can use it. It is the only universal adapter I have seen that fits any smart phone and binocular/scope. I won one in their facebook giveaway and used it yesterday. I couldn't believe the how great it worked and the best part is that while I was filming, the little kids could see on my phone exactly what my binos were looking at. I will post up the videos later, but this is a must have so check out smartoptix.com or go to their face book page to see the product.

    Best guess at score

I second that beam length is not this bulls weakness. He has great beam length but is short up front and lacks mass. Definitely seems to be a younger bull with great potential. I would easiy put him at being a 330" class bull

Shane, Yes I was referring to the 7th or second to last bull you posted. I hunted that bull on the archery hunt and had him within 40 yards on 3 diffrent occasions, but didn't ever get an arrow off due to the cedar/juniper cover . He was simply an Impressive bull. I nicknamed him the wolf bull since he howled when bugling and had such a unique bull. Just curious, did you guys know he was in 4b prior to the hunt or was he a big surprise. Very cool to see a pic of him on the ground. Congrats on such great trophies
