Iv been using ear plugs lately and I was surprised how much it helped by just not being able to hear them buzzing by my ear.

A lot depends on temp, humidity and size of the animal. I would say 3 weeks is pretty much max on a deer.

We have a griddle that we use. It works very well, especially once it's seasoned. No roughness or stick.
