does it get any better watching your own kid grow into a young man learning to hunt. we hunted our butts off in unit 21 today..hot and windy..well over 5 miles of up and down with heavy packs and even heavier for him, he insisted on carrying out the quarters and backstraps. heck of a year for him so far. he got his first elk...a cow ...in 5A a couple of weeks ago..ol man hasnt posted those pics yet. javelina in a couple of weeks for him!!!

Looks like a head shot but it wasnt....right through the boiler and it spewed out right onto its face, when I walked up to it I thought the same thing!

This has been chewin at my gut for a couple of days.Does anyone else else out there find it odd that no other pics have surfaced. Not on this websight, but the facebook page posted by the poster. Any guide business would have this beautiful animal posted in a nanosecond,I know I would.The instant I saw the pic I knew it was the buck pick on my phone sent to me opening weekend of archery deer. Saying there is no controversy here just doesnt seem to go down well. I guess we will see. I pray that buck was legally taken.

Was in 7west on saturday,Rained almost all day...It was a mud bog off the main gravel,pretty hairy in a couple of narrow draws with water jammin down the 2tracks like the colorado river.Gotta say it was kinda fun gettin the black knight a day at the mud spa. couple of years ago in unit 9 on an elk hunt,during a full moon, I was headed back to the truck across a huge meadow.It was just light enough to see to walkfrom the moonlight. As I am hoofin it along a terrifying growl and knashing of teeth burst out and I froze in place.Fumbling for my flashlight while almost drawing mud the growling kept on and louder.I finally got it out and shined it right into the face of a huge badger( AKA prairie skunk ). Now id like to say i slayed the beast with my bow but within a nanosecond I was flying the other direction. Needless to say I burned through some batteries after that. ( PS. Ive also heard rumors of hunters in 9 mooning the Grand Canyon Railroad train as it passes by...hmmm ) I
