two years ago azhntr and I were galssing for deer in 21. we were half frozen and about 10 feet from our bows and we hear this sound behind us and turn around to see a Gigantic muley run right up to us, think we suprised him as much as he freaked us out,I still have nightmares of his massive multi-tined rack doing mach 6 outa there. -

About ten years ago in 6a late spring I glassed up two 350's...they were sparring with each other for about half an hour..i couldnt put the glass away...they were tussling back n forth with oblivion in the wide open knocking over what appeared to be a shiny object...A quick glance to the left revealed a small rv in the treeline. It was then I realized the 350's were actually humans, sans clothing, both about 350 pounds on the hoof each frolicking around. you never know whos watchin! -
Im prayin hard...if they dont... im gonna hit it hard,7W bull

look whats happening in unit 10, not sure if that could ever apply legally to state land. I predict a lot of people will be looking at that model very closely to possibly apply statewide.when limited resources are competed for not just by your everyday hunter but by businesses looking to grow there are going to be issues. The game in our state is going to change, probably sooner than we all think.

I get the QUESTION all the time, how can you kill and eat those poor animals...I just tell them it tastes like baby seal..the mulie i killed in 9 out on the flats a couple of years ago was probably the tastiest animal ive ever eaten...as far as i could tell dirt and rocks were the only thing around to eat..probably was the cattle infested water tank water he was drinkin that gave him his flavor...his meat was also super tender...was a 3x

thats a toad, best looking crab claws ive ever seen on a deer...usually on dinks....im sure you werent thinkin what he would score before you shot him and it doesnt matter,i'd be proud to hang him anywhere...congrats

camp out, use the money saved and buy the best binos you can afford, then buy the biggest softest butt pad or stool you'll want to carry around and a tripod...a good solid one ,not a cheapo. good luck

Authentic Taxidermy in Chino, Thanks Troy, super job on the loper, couldnt be happier and just found out I have an archery bull tag for this year
-
Just my 2 cents, everyone goes through the dry tag spell,.Im47 and after 12 years of applying for unit 9 I got tired of waiting.I didnt want to hunt elk maybe 1 or 2 times before I am 75 so started applying for lesser units.odds go way up of getting drawn and getting to go! Ive been applying for bighorn sheep for 25 years and have max bonus points. My neighbor drew kofa tag first time applying,so I am not sold on worshipping at the altar of bonus points.depends on what you want to do,hunt or collect.

some more pics, plus 2 yote pics,I must have seen 30 dogs in 2 days, at one point I could see 15..way to many.

What a blazing hot day! watched this buck for 3 Weeks,he had one doe with him the entire time.He was definately rutting as he chased off any of the many smaller bucks cruisin his territory. The blind me and my buddy Todd had set up weeks earlier had been completely destroyed so we set up a new one the day before the opener with this buck watching us the entire time from a couple of hundred yards away.Got into the blind at 4AM after a 3mile bike ride in the dark.He came in at noon from the rear of the blind at caught me by suprise. He scooted out to 40 yards and I took the shot in about a 20 mph crosswind. My arrow drifted a couple of inches and got him in the liver. He bolted and continued to run about a half mile and out of my line of sight.I ran to ridge and could only see one small buck in the valley and not this one. Went back to blind and retreived my arrow which was covered in blood,Not a single drop of blood on the ground to follow. I returned to the ridge and systematically began to glass the valley. After a half hour or so and becoming a little worried I noticed with my eyes a tiny white fleck about 3/4 of a mile away.I gassed the spot and could not tell for sure so I beat a path towards it.About halfway i glassed again and could see a leg. You could have punched me,I was on cloud nine and ran like heck.Thank God for giving me the will to not stop looking in the heat. He had bedded down and bled out then died in a thick patch of chollas. For the first time in my hunting days I actually got heat blisters on my feet through my boots. He rough scored 82 inches. Cant wait to get some steaks for the grill. Did not get good pic at kill site, camera was in blind and I had to gut him and get to locker, thats why he is in the tall grass to hide the belly.

I had this tag 2 years ago and a 19A tag last year..Stick to the trees and pray for no rain..it rained like a mother on my hunt from morning till dark, tons of lighting,a little freaky when your walkin around with a metal appliance, didnt feel much better in a blind with graphite rods either.I have a 7west archery bull tag this year and will be scouting alot..perhaps we can share info..same to the other lucky tagholders as well..horn for bone..I like to quote my cousin when it comes to stalkin speedgoats...."spot n spook"
