My card just got tagged for 114, my son has drawn his first elk tag, so happy for him, gonna be some quality time in the great az wild this year!

first hunt , scored 82, but going to remeasure shortly

wow, after 8 years of no elk tags I am now 3 for 4 on archery bull,cc's got hit last night.I have had an archery loper tag the last 2 years in a row 7 and 19a, still waiting to see if that gets hit. 25 years of waiting for the bighorn tag, max points.hope the drawing gods will be good to me for that draw.

Gutless is the way to go..works great for all the big critters,even javelina..no muss..almost no mess. it will also save your back and with an elk,if your solo ,it reduces the odds of a knife injury. Just remember to get the tenderloins from under the spine. good luck

My opening day Wyoming speedgoat. Everyone should try Wyoming. From 3 years ago.

It is a simple process .I put in a couple of years ago in the red desert and drew the tag with 0 bonus points.I just paid the extra dollar amount. It was a blast. cant wait to bring my son there.!0 hour drive from here to salt lake then 3 to 5 hours from there. The year I went( by myself)gas was EXPENSIVE.I saw hundreds of goats. Videotaped mine the day before the opener and killed him opening morning 100 yards from where he bedded the night before. Wyoming is the place for antelope.

here are some javy pics from over the years.My huntin buddy and I have hunted the same herd for about 15 years with much success. We have never seen another hunter on any of those hunts. These critters are the funnest to hunt,what memories! ( bottom left picture of pig..14.5 inch skull )

I just got back from 19a hunt. Our blinds were behind barbwire enclosures and were destroyed by cattle.It gets expensive.I set my new one up in clear view of the buck I killed the next day.The lopers in this unit have seen everything. I would set up the day you hunt..in the dark, between 4 and 5 AM. Good luck to you,should be a little cooler.
