Thanks 6ANut. He's right at 16" and his top end mass is 1.5 times greater than the average buck according to the taxi. Overall he sits at 82" -

Maybe look at the leupold 12-40x60 HD. It's got better glass than the vortex and has some of the best reviews for a packable spotter

Look through the zeiss hd before you pull the trigger. I had a tough time getting them to focus. I've looked through the meopta hd and thought they were better besides the swaro hds.
