"Good to a thousand" mentality??
Eagle mountain ranch replied to GreyGhost85's topic in Long Range Shooting
Good topic ... I blame it on all the t.v. hunting shows etc. not to mention all the talk about it. Shooting steel with no pressure and shooting an animal are two complete different things. It's all about input/output yes this equipment can do it all day long, but the input from the shooter is the variable ! Not to mention do they even go check for blood after pulling the trigger if the animal just doesn't fall right over? I bet not which is not fair to the animals we pursue. -
Old fashioned way bud, throw them in the pot crank up the music and crack a beer! Gitter done Love it.. Beautiful work ....

Nothing like shooting the wrong flavor then posting about it .... Wow !!.... No excuse, heat of the moment or not one should research his/hers target before pulling the trigger !!! ... This has been taught for years ... "Know your target and what is beyond it" nuff said -
This math never lies .. All about input / output ....

Why Can't people on I 17 keep from crashing into each other?

Is there a Union for truckers? On the way home from 36A late Sunday afternoon one passed another then proceeded to stay in the left lane for a good 8 miles. No good reason for it, maybe he just didn't get it that he should move back into teh right lane. There used to be, but that was before all the rag heads started driving so who knows ??? My best friends dad rest his sole was a trucker for many years and told me. His trade has been over run by scabs/ non- professionals..Dont get me wrong there are still many pros out there driving, but with today's times. There is a lot of SCABS too.....! -

I worked that stretch from sunset point to pinnacle peak rd. Back in the 90's as a patrolman. I saw a lot of carnage coming down from sunset point. As far as tires , I will buy a new rim in order to get to an exit to change a flat. Yes this... I always tell my wife tear the vehicle up . We will buy another wheel .. Get off the main drag we can replace these materialistic things .. You or my daughter not so much ... -

I was behind a scab butt trucker today on the I-17 coming home from Prescott from work no hurry on company time doing alittle advertising .. Lol , and not once but 3 times he didn't get left for a disabled motorist on the side of the road. WTF .. Really I always get left if it safe to do so. Trust me I've been that guy on the side of the road changing a tire and my a$$hole always puckers when one of these so called idiot rat scabs are to lazy to get over. I get it if you can't but come on you are supposed to be professionals. -

About 10 years ago I was about to leave for my first ever elk hunt when my live-in GF called to say good bye on her way from Cottonwood up to Flag. She's babbling away about her work day or something and stops in the middle and goes, "Ohh, my god! what's this guy doing?! Ohh my God!!..... " Static noises, weird sounds on the phone and the call disconnects. I must've called her back about 20 times before finally a stranger answered her phone and asks if it's Matt? And then tells me she'd just rolled her car into the ditch and they were loading her in the ambulance. Friggin big rig started swerving around in it's lane and than came over right on top of her as she was passing. she wen't off onto the shoulder to avoid making contact, lost control and ended up in the ditch. Trucker never stopped and was never tracked down. She got banged up a bit but ended up being fine. My elk hunt never recovered though... Man that's horrible can't imagine glad she is ok most don't survive when it comes to tangling with a big rig. These guys are outta control as much as I'm not for new laws and such they should be restricted to the right lane only, and run reduced speeds. IMO
