Yes..there is usually alot of time when you glass them up from a far and shoot.I always put them in but will leave one loose so I can still communicate with my spotter. Also if your the spotter at least for me it is mandatory cause not only does it help with hearing protection.It make you less likely to jump when calling shots.

You know dang well that lil' lag bolt ain't hurting that tree, and as far as I can tell the removal of that branch is being "Fire Wise"... fuel reduction at ground level on trees is pivotal to their survival in a fire... I see way more fence staples in trees than I do cameras or treestands, so I don't throw stones in glass houses.... Just Sayin'!! See it is this ignorance that divides us ...
