    I wonder

Heard one of the news reports, Skynews I believe, say that many of those killed were children. Barbarians!

    I wonder

He will never admit he's wrong. His arrogance will get more people killed. This will happen in Anytown, USA. The question now is: How long will the people allow this to happen? November 8, 2016 will answer that question either way.

    Gotta love this "new" Nation

One positive: when the SHTF, 80% of the libs will die within the first month. Without their the Facebook, Twitter or snapchat, they have no chance. Most have no basic survivor or self preservation skills. My Ruger 10/22 will feed me for a long time!

Best way to meet hunting bros

With the exception of bird hunting with my brother, my big game hunts are solo. My hunting buddies all live out of town and our busy schedules can never match up. I don't mind solo hunting. What I can't stand is a solo camp. Yeah, it's ok for a day or two, but after 5 or 6 days, coming back to a lonely camp gets old. I miss the elk camp camaraderie from my youth. The same stories told over and over again from the old timers. Those were my most memorable elk/deer camps! Anyways. Kinda drifted off a little..... Good luck.

    Phoenix people are rude

Born and raised in Arizona. People here have always been friendly and helpful. It's just within the past 30 years or so as the out of state transplants have moved in and changed the attitude of this state. When I run into rude people, I just smile and wish them a great day. Quick story: Way before cell phones. Years ago, I'd say '78, my family and I where heading south on I-17 heading to Phoenix. Our vehicle broke down north of Camp Verde. Family of 7 stuck on the side of the road. Shortly, an old beat up Ford pulls up and a very nice old man stepped out to help us. He was from Cornville. He got things rolling and actually followed us all the way to the Camp Verde turnoff to make sure we were alright. He exited and I never saw that man again. I was like 9 years old and still remember that funny, "crazy" dude! Anyways....just rambling, but many here are really good people. We just see or hear about the bad. I love Arizona. I could care less what an article says about us. I know we are a kind and helpful bunch of folks.

What feature would you like on your GPS.

The manufactures should add a "ping" option. I bet it wouldn't be hard to add that technology. You know how many lost or injured people they would find before they succumbed to the weather or injuries. Also, if you lost it, you could log onto their website and "ping" it and get the exact coordinates of your lost gps. I imagine that would increase cost and lower battery life, but its something I've always thought about.

    Bad day with a .500 S&W

I only see one myself. That second quick tap I believe is the muzzle hitting his ear protection, Too bad the video ended before counting all his rounds. That would have been the confirmation.

    Hot.....

Got this info from the NWS. -------------- The following directions apply to all types of thermometers, from classic mercury thermometers to new-age digital temperature sensors. 1. Place the thermometer 5 feet above the ground (+/- 1 ft.). A thermometer too low will pick up excess heat from the ground and a thermometer too high will likely have too cool of a temperature due to natural cooling aloft. 5 ft. is just right. 2. The thermometer must be placed in the shade. If you put your thermometer in full sunlight, direct radiation from the sun is going to result in a temperature higher than what it should be. 3. Have good air flow for your thermometer. This keeps air circulating around the thermometer, maintaining a balance with the surrounding environment. Therefore, it is important to make sure there are no obstructions blocking your thermometer such as trees or buildings. The more open, the better. 4. Place the thermometer over a grassy or dirt surface. Concrete and pavement attract much more heat than grass. That is why cities are often warmer compared to suburbs. It is recommended to keep the thermometer at least 100 ft. from any paved or concrete surfaces to prevent an erroneously high temperature measurement.

    Hot.....

Well, according to the NWS, the official temp for Phoenix was 118, which broke the old record of 115. My thermometer got to 120 here in Mesa. And tomorrow I gotta work in it! What's the sick call number again!?
