A friend of mine who is active in federal land management issues (an OHV fiend) told me he recently attended a Tonto Forest planning meeting where the Salt River horse issue was discussed.  Apparently the plan is to fence the horses out of the river and off Bush Highway.  He said the horses will be contained to a relatively small area.  The horse lovers will then feed them.  This sounds good but feral horses are well distributed in adjacent areas.  Unless they are rounded up, the scourge will continue.

Lol, I think that old lady also tried to slow me down one day. Must have been 20 cars parked in a bunch right across from the Pobrecito overflow staging lot. I laid on the horn as I passed all those idiots! People scattered, horses just kept grazing! lmao!

Not sure who has this reps ear but he appears to have a need to introduce "enviromental" bills.  Where exactly is his district?

So duck hunting would be illegal under the proposed bill???

Lol. Probably never occurred to him as he was sitting in his cushy office drinking Carmel lattes from Starbucks! Politicians really need to stay out of game management.

  5. I think bow technology has met its pinnacle. Any improvements to performance are now minuscule. Most bows today are pretty equal in performance and the only way to sell a bow is to focus on the cosmetics of each bow. It’s all marketing hype now.

Still shooting my 2009 Bear Archery Truth 2. I don’t buy into the bow hype!

In AZ once you hit 70 and if you have been a resident for 25 years you qualify for a Pioneer license that covers a hunting and fishing license at no cost. Bob your 63 now and your license is good for another year making you 64. A lifetime hunting license is 296.00. If the cost stays the same at 37.00 a year for 6 years you would pay 222.00, until you could qualify for a Pioneer license. I don't know about you, but I rather have a couple of bucks than give it to the state.

If Bob were to stay in Arizona, yes. I don’t believe the Pioneer license would help him in regards to the 10 percent non-resident cap. If he moves, the Lifetime license is a no brainer.

i dont even like hunting with people i just met with an unloaded gun behind me. people are stupid.

Yeah, or even friends. It can be a brand new gun still in the box and it’s still a creepy feeling to me knowing a guy with a gun is behind me. I’ll slow down so he gets side by side with me so I can watch his muzzle location.

Wasn't his vehicle pulled out of a ditch near Payson after he called a tow truck? The driver says it was him.

Problem is his SUV wasn't found for 10 days after the crime. You could circle the globe a half dozen times in that amount of time.

I really don't know.  Guess anything is possible. I hope im wrong and that coward is found, but Im still leaning to the simplest explanation.

The more assumptions one has to make, the more unlikely an explanation.

i wonder if someone picked him up off young road. didnt he bring his dog and leave it there with his truck? wasnt he caught on bashas security cam in payson or was that a rumor

He's never been seen since that fateful day in 2001.  I read an article not too long ago where law enforcement stated that every reported sighting or lead has turned up false.  I can't find the article tho.

The pucker is dead. He was a coward. Im betting his remains are scattered somewhere in the Young area, probably in one of the many caves a person can find throughout the Rim country.
