That feel when a lady from the valley started the Chediski Fire and the guys that started the wallow fire are from the Gila VALLEY according to you. A better description would have been a flatlander (anyone from south of the rim in AZ)wont follow the rules because the ones that have fires dont give a F because they can just go home and not worry about it.

if i thought i was gonna die and the only way out was to start a signal fire id make a rager like that lady did. lol the gila valley? two 500k acre fires started by small town people, just saying.
Small town has nothing to do with appreciating the forest and wanting to protect it. And an Indian wanting to make a buck doesnt exactly fall under the category of someone that appreciates the forest and wants to protect it. I'd guarantee statistically most human caused fires in AZ are from people that live off the rim.

  3. Funny how pissed guys get on here when they close roads in OUR forest during hunting season, but it is ok to close the entire forest because idiots will set it on fire. Pisses me off that I can not go up north and enjoy the nice weather because idiots ruin it for all of us and most guys are ok with that on here. I know this may sound crazy, but what about just enforcing the laws that are already on the books and keeping our forests open for all to enjoy. More enforcement is the solution, not closing our forest.

I dont remember any road ever being closed down during a hunt where I hunt. And if a road closes to avoid burning a forest down that's fine. While you might follow the rules it's just a proven fact that just enough people from the valley wont follow the rules so they can't chance leaving it open. Too many people that have no emotional ties to the forests up here and if it burns down they'll just pack up and go home and go to a new spot next year.

  4. Just found out today when the apache sitgreaves closes on Wednesday south of 260 the horse lovers were able to sneak in a special permit from someone that allows them to continue to haul water. All the while not even forest service employees can enter the forest. Wtf? I'd like to kick someone right in the balls that allowed that.

How old are you? And how many more years do you expect to be able to get around? Someone else can probably clear this up but I'd assume 24b wilderness only let's you hunt the wilderness area as the 24b south let's you hunt the wilderness as well as the outside areas mostly east and south of the wilderness area.

Hope you ain't hiring a guy with those?'s.😏
    huh?

As of right now state and BLM land in Navajo and Apache counties is closed. Partial closures of the apache sitgreaves goes into effect tonight I believe. Supposedly from showlow to the rim past forest lakes everything south of 260 is closed. They are releasing more info tonight.

I hope they close more than that. Otherwise the idiots will head west and burn down my favorite lake, Bear Canyon.

I'm sure the FS is going back and forth on keeping the Rim lakes open, but they're playing with fire, no pun intended.

Most likely those rim lakes will be closed as well when these other forests shut down. They dont want the whole valley coming up to the only spot open and overloading it.

  9. I still hadn't got my email, called today!!! Its confirmed I got the muli-season limited entry hunt! I am shocked, archery, rifle, muzzleloader.... which do I want to hunt? Thinking last week of archery and then rifle

did they say what the helI is going on with their draw system? Gonna be three months from deadline to results. I had no charge but still haven't received an email.

  10. I will personally volunteer to shoot those horses and not a single care will be given by me. I don't see them as horses, looks like a big cockroach

if they ever legalized it I'd be the first volunteer to shoot every last round of ammo I owned into a horse. Until then all we can do is pray they die off on their own.

  11. Let em die. Elk and deer are likely and able to move and find water elsewhere. Those horses wouldn't be facing this fate if they allowed the forest service to remove them. If this is the only way to thin the herd I hope it doesnt rain for 3 months.

Anyone have any experience hunting lions over water? I've found 5 kills all within a 1/2 square or so of each other all with in the last few months. I see tracks but the kills are never very fresh and I haven't been able to glass them up yet.

I would call though out that area, just dont sit down on the ground when calling.
    He gonna climb a tree?

  13. Exactly what I said in my post. Jay reaches many more people but atleast it's a once a year thing. Shane throws a 3c hashtag on every dam post he makes. Jay does it to help Daniel Franco who is his friend but I'm sure Shane gets his fair share of clients from it as well and I'm sure he loves the exposure of 3c. Either way all of it comes together to definitely screw up the odds.

  14. This thread is breaking my heart. How many points for the early strip and bab hunts?

Theres not an early strip hunt other than 13a starts two weeks sooner than 13b. 13b takes more but both are always close to max points to be guaranteed. 2 residents have 21 and 4 have 20. 19 have 19. So yeah it's a lot

  15. If there's anyone that tries the hardest to spread the word to the universe on what 3c has to offer it's your buddy Shane Koury. Jay Scott's podcasts certainly dont help anything because he spreads the word to such a large audience. But Shane has him beat on proclaiming to the world what 3c has.

  16. Last year 36% of people with 15 drew unit 1. 14% of people with 16 drew 3c. I'm looking st the report from this year but it's not broken down by non resident. It appears in unit 1 everyone with 16 points that put it first choice drew it but only a small portion of guys with 15 drew it. So I'd say guaranteed draw for unit 1 was 16 points.

In 3c noone with 16 drew a tag in the bonus pass and all did that had 17 with 3c as first choice. So I'd say 17 guaranteed for 3c archery. (Which is insane)
