  1. chip or not, it still has to be signed. It clearly states it, just like your tag.

Everyone knows that. We just think its stupid. It makes zero sense. Other than to catch you on something. I apply for a tag i get a tag in the draw they obviously okayed me hunting that animal. So why have to sign it? Should sign after you kill it.

  2. I've always thought it stupid you sign your tag before the hunt anyway. They already know you drew the tag so why not sign it after you kill so once its signed it cant be used anymore? Really think it's just one more thing they just want to catch you on.

Dog chews, furniture/decor and ground up and turned into d!ck pills is what theyre used for.

The dick pills is a myth. Just used for health drinks and pills.
Why do they take the health drinks and pills then, they definitely take deer antler velvet for that.
The velvet stuff is no different than taking a growth hormone for your muscles. Maybe it makes your dick grow too but I've always seen it used for guys wanting to get muscle fast or heal from an injury.

So what's the point of buying them? What do you do afterwards with them? Just keep them to stare at or try and find places to sell them to that make stuff out of them? Just wondering.

I take 15,000+ pounds to a big buyer every year. Sell them for more than I buy them.
Assuming your actually serious... 15k?!?! That's nuts dude. Id love to see what that pile looks like.
And I'm not really that big of a buyer. Some of the really big buyers buy 40k+ pounds a year

    Good morning Chris-

Thanks for taking the time to provide your input on the use of trail cameras. I would like to address a couple of comments you made in your email. As far as implementing restrictions without scientific reasoning, let me explain that evaluating the use of trail cameras and other advancing forms of technology as they relate to Fair Chase is a responsibility of the Department and Commission, and one we do not take lightly. This is certainly not a knee-jerk reaction to a non-existent problem and I certainly am not looking for opportunities to implement additional restrictions on outdoorsmen as you stated in your email. I recognize there is some opposition to the rule change on the use of trail cameras but hope you understand this came up as a Fair Chase issue that, due to the advancement and availability of technology, the use of trail cameras to pursue and take wildlife has risen to such a level that it demanded the attention of our Fair Chase Committee. As I stated, we have a responsibility to address these issues as they begin to push the boundaries of what is accepted as Fair Chase. That is how this issue came about. I would strongly encourage you to refer to our website or the section in our hunting regulations called: "Fair Chase: Hunt Hard, Hunt Fair." You will find that there are rules with respect to ethical hunting practices and not giving hunters an unfair advantage. Support of Fair Chase by our sportsmen and the public is important to the survival of hunting and fishing in Arizona.

Thank you again for taking the time.

    Jim Zieler, Commissioner

Man that's horribly nasty. Wait. . No it's not. Sounds like he just answered your email sent to him. Seemed pretty usual response they'd send someone that most likely wrote an email accusing them of things like knee jerk reactions and restricting hunters.

  6. Unfortunately closed means no Turkey season. Also don't think game and fish gives refunds in cases like that. The forest service is under pressure from a lot of business owners and other groups to keep the forest open because they know how much money is lost when people can't come up and camp and hunt etc. People have suggested it to the Apache sitgreaves and they straight up said they are keeping it open because of hurting local economies and only shut it down in the most extreme cases. Well I'd say one of the driest winters on record is pretty extreme. Hoping the forest doesn't burn up just to keep local businesses happy.

  7. I was mistaken in believing the Bonus Pass report was real time, it's generated after all cards and tags are processed. As such, an app that's bounced for a bad card will not show as drawn. The other report I have, not published, is real time and does show a successful app that may later be rejected.

So, a nr drew the 1 available tag in the Bonus Pass and was later rejected.

Ouch. All those years just to blow it with a bad credit card. Guess he could have done it on purpose due to bad moisture. But my next question is if 24 guy is rejected how did one of the guys with 23 didnt get one in the bonus pass?

  8. BC, It makes more sense to me that the report is wrong and the 24 point guy drew.

The nr Bonus Pass report shows zero nr drawing in the Bonus Pass, the other report shows 1 drawing in the Bonus Pass and two in the 1-2 Pass. Because none drew in the nr Bonus report, the report doesn't show the point pools, the other report isn't formatted to show point levels.

So we assume the list they posted is wrong and also one of the two lists they don't post is wrong as well. Seems like quite the benefit of the doubt.

  9. One nr tag drawn in the Bonus Pass vs none

I believe the one showing "none" is created at the same time as the published Bonus Pass by Hunt report and they're basically "data tables" being filled as the draw occurs. Real time if you will and not created after the fact.

I guess I don't understand what you mean. Does your NR list show the guy with 24 drawing or no? According to the published one three guys, two with 23 and 1 with 24 points didnt draw the tag in the bonus pass and that's just not possible. One guy with 23 drew after the fact in the 1 and 2 pass but that's completely different.

  10. While I hate the idea of wasted meat and would also probably do the finishing off, I can still see game and fish perspective on it. If they granted salvage tags easily there would probably be a lot more "uh, I just hit an elk with my truck" calls. Sounds stupid but im sure it would happen. Of course if they could streamline the process and grant them over the phone with exact location and prove it was hit by a car through some other law enforcement agency and or a mandatory check in Of the animal that might be the happy medium. I'd be happy to bring evidence in if I was able to keep it.

if someone wants to destroy their truck to get an elk have at it. Doesn't take much to prove your vehicle hit an elk or not.

  11. And BC777- where do you get such detailed information?

Look up bonus point process on game and fish website. All the reports are on there. Hard to understand them but just have regs to match up that specific years hunt numbers and you can see all the numbers for each hunt.

  12. Maybe someone can help with something related. My grandsons had 4 bp's and drew their 2nd choice youth elk tags- 4a. 5bs/6a was first choice, which has 500 tags. Their tag #'s are 34 and 35. How could they draw such low tag #'s and not get their first choice? They would have to have issued all 500 tags for their 1sr choice for that to happen and the odds for the 2 hunts are pretty similar. I'm not complaining because they still have good tags- just trying to figure how this scenario is possible.

4 points put them in the bonus pass for 4a.(36 tags in the bonus pass) so they automatically drew it. The first choice of 5bs/6a a lot of people with 4 drew in the bonus pass but not everyone with 4 drew (about half drew with 4 and half didn't). So basically anytime either of your 1st or 2nd choices make the bonus pass you draw it automatically.

  13. Legally no you cant shoot them. But I don't know if there is a judge out there that's gonna care. I believe the county and dps officers have permission to shoot them if needed and they are usually there pretty fast so sometimes better to just let them take care of it.

  14. Not sure what happened. I think we would need to see the 24 point holder's 2nd choice, might have drawn that?

One of the 23 point guys drew in the 1-2 pass round

well that shows the two guys with 23 didnt apply together. So if the guy with 24 didnt draw how the heck did they guy with 23 not draw after that? I've never heard for certain but I was under the impression that if you apply for a hunt and you're in the bonus pass for both you get your first choice. Wouldn't make sense to give someone their second choice because after all it's their second choice not their first. No way two guys with top points didnt have their credit cards ready to be charged.

  15. I don't think I claimed to be a pro? I ask to understand. Plus we have some guys on here that are really knowledgeable so why not ask

no worries he was talking to me. I guess the only explanation that makes sense is flatlanders idea of a rejected card. I do find it strange they still include you on the report if you get rejected though.
