So you want to punish people that already have a hard time hunting. Get outta here. There are strict guidelines on handicap people being able to get a crossbow permit. This simply helps them have another option of weapon to use that helps them enjoy hunting and make it easier to hunt. Instead of using energy from limbs to launch an arrow it's letting them use a weapon that uses air to launch and arrow. Big deal. Hopefully you just misunderstood what you read and don't truly want to punish those that already have a hard time hunting due to no fault of their own. If you did understand that and still want to stop them from being able to use pneumatic weapons then you need help.

Don't know where you live but up north at Heber and Taylor snowflake and Show Low Timber Mesa they are always sending crews out in the summertime. Many times they don't have enough people to staff a truck and they may be able to use him. Like mentioned before he would be working off an engine or occasionally a type-6 truck. It would get him some experience. I'll have to check into it but some departments could possibly require him to be an EMT if he is going to work under them so that could be a problem.

what info you talking about?

Seeing the elk transplant to West Virginia I was curious if it would ever be possible to transplant moose to AZ? Up by Flag or Alpine seems high enough for them to live. I understand West Virginia had a prior elk population way back when and AZ never had a moose population but just curious if anyone thinks that would be a possibility.

Not possible a quarter mile out without using 10+ cameras per water source. There's too many trails going to water when you're out a quarter mile from the water.heck ya , no more cameras, going old school.
There are actually going to be more now. instead one at the water there will be one or more on every trail leading to the water.

Pm me I live here in 3c and helped a few guys last year on this hunt. I can give you some pointers on areas to check out and areas to avoid.I'm wondering how this hunt turned out for you? I drew it for this season and am ready to start familiarizing myself with this area. Any info you could give that you wished you had had would be great.

Toughen up big guy no need to get your feelings hurt or let someone get on your nerves on an internet forum. Also curious what I lied about? I was about as upfront about the whole deal as you could be. But since I paid a fine and didn't end up going to prison over an $80 camera I somehow deserve to be shot to please you people. My question is how does someone who is one of the main guides of the outfitter (who I'm sure you're affiliated with or buddies with) that involved my camera deal takes a client on the reservation, gets caught, things confiscated and he's still working for them. Little bit of a double standard when it involves them breaking laws.

Got me!Needed someone to feel bad for me on this site.
My money says Blake made that profile so he could victimize himself ... 😃I love it when someone never posts and contributed nothing is so ticked off he has to come and give his 2 cents on a member

Do you personally agree unit 10 can handle that many tags year after year? I know there are a lot of antelope but I'd imagine that many bucks dying year after year quality was bound to drop pretty quickly isn't it? Is that what's finally happening?so if they were killing 86s and telling people turn tags in, what size were they hoping to get
According to my records I show 8 bucks taken last year in Unit 10 over 80 inches out of 170 tags and only 1 over 85 (maybe 2). For comparison, in 2016 I show 32 bucks over 80 inches and 7 over 85. That's a huge difference in quality from one year to the next even if I missed a few bucks. And 2015 was similar to 2016.
In 2015 we guided to 4 bucks in Unit 10:
90.500
84.500
87.750
86.250
In 2016 we guided to 3 bucks in Unit 10:
87.000
93.000
92.250
What the numbers don't show is that 3 of the bucks we killed in 2015 were our backup bucks! It's tough to outmaneuver a crowd of 100 people on that rifle hunt and if you don't have a lot of great backup bucks your hunt could turn south pretty quickly. Last year the backup bucks were much smaller overall than previous years so we chose to wait another year with our hunter.

Man I can get blamed for hating game and fish even when I'm defending game and fish. I can't imagine what I have ever done to anyone to deserve my whole family getting cancer but it sounds like you have some issues you might want to get checked out. Especially coming from someone I've never even had contact with.

B77 why you have so much angry to the azgfd?
Your mother would disagree. .

If you go back and read earlier posts you'll see I was one of the few actually defending azgfd on this subject. I'm simply saying azgfd could have just realized hey we screwed up but there's no way to fix it now so let's make these guys happy that are pissed off this happened and say we're giving the tags to who deserved them next in line. Then simply erase them off the list and repost the list. Not angry with azgfd at all actually. Pretty impressed with the draw process this year.B77 why you have so much angry to the azgfd?

Sorry zeiss sold

I'd like to hear from someone if they know anyone that actually got some of the tags they removed. I'd bet they just said that to appease the mob and erased them off the list and reposted it. Would be much easier.

What's not logical about they can pick and choose what and what not to give a discount on?Seemed like a pretty legit question - and azcouesandelk did a good job of answering it logically. Just my $.02
-
No they wonti believe sportsmans will let you use it on anything.
-
You know they don't have to give any sort of discount on anything right?Okay so I understand in military discount is a pretty cool thing any company that offers it as far as I'm concerned is going above and beyond and saying thank you and I appreciate that. But when a company starts putting restrictions on what you're allowed to use your military discount on for reasons other than such as you can't get 10% off of a boat or a quad that makes sense to me the very expensive item that would be a very large discount. But as of a few weeks back Cabelas has stepped it up you cannot use your military discount on any ammunition bullets gunpowder reloading stuff at all can anybody explain that to me? I mean they already don't allow discounts on any Firearms any military discount that is but to include guns powder bullets Exedra I don't understand this one

Congrats. Didn't think there was any way he couldn't draw it. Glad the draw reports were right!Well I guess I need to offer a "you were correct " to bonecollector777.
This ole man drew a unit 8 archery bull elk tag. Took 7 yrs.
Just hoping a mature bull gives me an opportunity

Ha easiest fix for them. Without any repurcussions.Per AZGFD website: The leftover tag list was inaccurate. The list is being corrected, and the new list will be posted as soon as it is available.

Whoever these kids parents were should have taken the draw more seriously and had their cards ready to go if their kids were so excited to hunt. I'm also pretty sure the cow doesn't give a damm whether you call it a coveted cow or a ugly cow or stupid cow or whatever you please. It's a cow elk for crying out loud. No I wasn't being sincere about the coveted leftover cow tag. A kid is still gonna get to hunt it so hopefully they appreciate it and have a good time. It's like 5 tags of several thousand cow tags so 99.9999999% of the tags got given to who it was supposed to. The leftover tags obviously didn't get picked for you guys because you would have gotten the tag since your cards are good. Think of it this way the tag didn't go to someone that obviously didn't care enough to have their card ready to go. Now it will go to someone excited about it in the leftover draw. And they get to keep their points! Doesn't get better than that.
I can certainly appreciate and agree with a lot of what you are saying, but I hope you are being sincere about the "coveted left over cow tag". Might not be a big deal to you, but to a young first time hunter (and many others) who have been waiting 10 years, it is the world. Not to mention that it is disrespectful to the animal to discount it like that.So sounds like your kids didn't deserve the tags. They simply stopped trying to charge cards after the second guy got rejected. If that's the rule they had in place they did nothing wrong. I'd imagine in the next draws they will set it up to keep charging until the tag is given away. Now everyone go put your kids in for that coveted leftover cow tag. Gonna have worse odds than a sheep tag when its all said and done.

Air Gun coming to archery seasons in AZ

Just read your proposal you attached. Crossbow killed animals have never been able to be entered into pope and young anyway so who cares if pope and young says you can't enter airbow kills? Also according to your definitions crossbows aren't considered "bows" because it's not made or one strip of material held together by a string at two ends. Your proposal makes it sound like we're arming regular perfectly capable hunters with airbows to have an advantage over the animal and other hunters. You forget the hunters using these weapons generally have several other issues normal hunters don't have to deal with regarding walking/stalking/drawing a weapon.
