Welcome to moving up in the world. Pretty standard practice for salary jobs. If you're good at your job your bonuses etc should make up for the difference In the long run. What kind of business are you in? The 7 days a week sounds a bit much. Most salary jobs are only 5-6 day work weeks and have never heard of 7 day work weeks. You might want to contact the labor board to get your facts straight from the horses mouth But, if you signed off on it there is nothing you can really do if you want to protest it with the labor board.

The real question here is, "what was she doing out of the kitchen in the first place?"
