From what I was told is the forrest service wants the elk whipped out on the peaks because the elk are doing something to one of the tree's up there. Look at the 3 back to back cow hunts and 3 back to back early bull hunts on top of the regular 7E hunts.

Yea I was not pleased how they worded the email either with the "only 1% of the tags" and how they tried using scare tactics . This subject needs media attention to get the word out. Maybe a bunch of us get together and picket the state capital or fish and game ? what ever works

Thats the same thing I heard from a game warden a few years back. He also stated that once a gate has been locked for 2 years ? it then can be locked up for good according to that law. If that makes sense

They did the same thing on the north side of the white tanks a few years ago. I even saw a mcso officer put a lock on one of the gates that said " state trust land"
