What contributes most to harvesting MONSTER BUCKS
longshooter replied to coues7's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Ofcourse hunting in a area with the right genetics is the most important, I think it boils down to being in the right spot at the right time. -
Even this dog won't take a handout from BO

Kieth stop being cheap and do it right, throw a night force or schmidt & Benders on it. With your price range the leupolds can not be beat

Kieth go to the outdoorsmans and get the outdoorsman geovid adaptor. I have it for my geovids and works great

Congrats on the tag and good luck.. I would hire a guide and a handful of bird dogs for this hunt.
-
I got sick of dealing with the whole draw system ordeal so I just started making my own tags with my computer and hp printer..
-
I have a 2008 with the 6.4 with over 50,000 + miles and the only problem I had was a leaky radiator that was replaced at 30k miles under warranty.

Dang Keith looks like your putting down the fishing rods and picking up the guns more these days ..

There yellow bass. All the lakes in the salt river chain ( Roosevelt, Apache, Canyon and Saguaro) Have good populations of yellow bass and no stripers. The only inland waters that have stripers is Lake Pleasant.
-
Nice fish dude....
-
The whites and stripers have also been stacked pretty thick at the dam right next to the towers/pumps. Cut anchovies and live shad have been doing alot of damage

longshooter replied to cramerhunts's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Mexico
Great buck and great pics... That is one of the nicest ranch houses I have seen in mexico.. All the ones I have been to dont even compare to that one -
Here is a good review comparing the 2 for you http://www.archerytalk.com/vb/showthread.php?t=828286

+1 You need to shoot all of them you can get your hands on. What one guy likes may not be what you like. Shoot them all then buy a Hoyt Alphamax or Katera! Thats what I'm talking about. I have a newer hoyt Katera XL and made the mistake of shooting the new alpha max 35 the other day at corner archery .. So now I will be ordering a alpha max 35 as a back up
-
You just need to shoot a few and pick the ones that feels the best for you.. You can't go wrong with Hoyt, Mathews, pse and bowtech.. Take a look at the new Hoyt alpha max 32 and 35. Thats the new bow I will be ordering this spring. The new mathews monster is suppose to have a ibo of 360 fps ? I just dont know how forgiving it is and the hand shock with it. You can also do alot of research at www.archerytalk.com but that web site is very addicting and you will waist hours and hours there, lol
