Soaking capes in a bucket full of salt water 12-24 hours then taking a comb to the cape usually helps out a lot . Some of the outfitters like El Chaparral and Wade Lemon have started having their clients capes tanned and shipping the cape to you later

I remember going to sunset sporting goods on 35th and northern back in the 80’s when they had all the bulk plastic worms, lizards, garland jigs and terminal tackle in the bins. back in the 80’s you could also draw a unit 9 archery elk tag every year you could draw a late December coues deer tag down south every year and your tag was good for a handful of different units. You could also buy an additional deer tag for a meat buck and shoot 2 deer a year

I just got back Sunday and I flew. Real quick and simple. lots of people fly down to Hermosillo and get picked up by their outfitter. I usually have my horns and capes brought across the border at a later date by my outfitter. It’s easier and stress free. good luck down there this year
