Taxidermist on the west side
longshooter replied to longshooter's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
I did take it to Gtt today. Saw some of his work and I can honestly say he does some nice work. He is not big enough for a shoulder mount I think. Besides I got a coues deer at the taxidermist still and I got 2 elk tags this year( 1 on the fort apache res and 1 in unit 10 ) so I might need to save some money just incase I need to mount a bull or 2 . -

It cost under $400 and the only place I have found that carries them is the outdoorsmans. http://www.vortexoptics.com/spotting_scope...d_straight_60mm -

well looks like i will be taking back the leupold spotting scope and getting a vortex nomad instead. I went to the outdoorsmans and did a comparison and the vortex is the way to go. I even compared the Leica and swarovksi to the vortex side by side and the vortex is hard to beat for the money. -

I will let you guys now next weekend after I go out scouting. Going to be interesting because only thing a have to compare it to is a swarovski HD. I figured for under $300 bucks you cant go wrong and it does seem like a good light weight packing scope -
I got my Carp tag in the mail on Thursday or Friday .

I got drawn for any antlered deer in 20C. I have a few spots up there that I know hold some decent muleys but I have never seen or heard of any coues in that unit. I was wondering if any one has heard or seen of any coues in this unit ? I don't mind chasing muleys but if there are some decent coues bucks in my unit I would rather chase them.

good looking pics. Nice to see it getting green down there

After blowing up the pic to get a better look he looks like a nice mature bear . He is definitely a shooter thats for sure. If you want to pass on him I will shoot him for you and tell you what his skull measures ?

that buck had some nice length and mass for a desert muley. I like that 5th point

That buck in the top pic on the left side has some potential to be a shooter

They start dropping horns in may -
Only thing I can say is congrats to the hunter who shot that monster and the guides who helped make it happen. And I hope one day I can shoot a bull of that size. Larry Landgren

Talk about mass

Ed is actually my uncle. That coues deer that was stolen was Ed's brothers that died in the early 80's so its unreplacable. Sad to see crap like this happen to good people

Crazy is right. A little angry, but right. You put just about any company's flagship bow in a top shooter's hands nowadays and it will win. Crazy$COUES, send Longshooter a PM. If you're into "that kinda thing", he'll come over and "massage" all your anger away... so I've heard. When someones hummingbird mouth overruns there alligator a$$ it makes me angry. That is not what this board is about. As far as the massage I will have to pass. You must have recieved a proposition or two...or once again are you letting that humming bird mouth run on. Don't know if kevins mouth would be considered a hummingbirds mouth after all the constant abuse it goes threw each night at the gay bar were he enjoys the taste of a few beers and the smell and flavor of a couple freshly used bar stools that some 300 pound biker just got done sitting on. Well the Alligator comment well if the shoe fits well your probaly right .
