I drove by a camp today they had the bull hung up by its antlers with the hide still on and in full sun. Shook my head and kept driving. It look like it had been there a few days. Not the way I will do it when I get my bull.

Is that in 7w?

I'm looking for any bull at this point need to fill the freezer for the next year. 4 cow elk today. We too are hiking our butts off. I have not seen another hunter in 3 days of hiking. Not enough pressure to get the elk moving.

Anybody get a bull yet? I have seen one elk in two days. Nothing moving in my area. Going to a different spot tomorrow.

It sounds like the snow will be holding off for the hunt. Headed up Thanksgiving morning. Good Luck to all the late rifle bull hunters. I hope to be back home on Sunday but will stay the hole week if needed.

Good Luck on the hunt. I know 7 is a big unit but 1025 tags seem to be a bit much. I also have the 7w late bull elk tag. I'm going up Saturday to check my trail cameras.

Thanks everybody for the kind remarks. Yes there were tons of deer up there. It seems like every doe had at least one or two fawns. This doe was in the second group of does we saw. We took a side road off of 282 and came across them. My son has been talking nonstop about this deer.

My dad and I were drawn for this tag also.

My son was drawn for one of the 400 youth tags this year. How easy/hard is it to get away from the 100's of road hunters? Obviously due to the long drive from Phoenix I will not be able to scout as much as I would like to but I will be able to scout 2 weekends in September. If anybody has a good place to start scouting at I would like to hear from you. Or if anyone has some experience on hunting this hunt I would like to know what we could expect in regards to success. Does anybody know a place in Kaibab or near Kaibab, Marble Canyon or Cameron where I can store a 27ft 5th wheel? I don't want to keep hauling it up and back for scouting and hunting. Thanks, Mike

No. My son drew a doe tag in early October and grandpa wants to bring up the trailer on a few scouting trips and so he can have a nice place to sleep.

My dad and I got 7w Late Rifle Bull tags also. No junior cow hunt for my son 2 yrs in a row trying to get drawn for that hunt. What a waist it is to put a 10yr old in for a junior hunt to not get drawn. But they are the next generation of hunters!!! But cant get drawn. Frustrating!!
