My son was drawn for the junior hunt from 11/18-11/27. How is the junior camp? I have heard it is very good and informative for the young hunters. This is a new unit for us this year so I'm sure we will camp with them and get some pointers and direction from them. Time to scout and hang a camera or two. Any help from former junior hunts would be appreciated to get my son his first buck. Thanks Mike

Creed, We are planning on camping at the youth camp for the weekend. I just was wanting to get out there and scout some before the hunt.

My son was drawn for the junior tag in 20b-21. I have hunted 21 some in years past but the javelin population in 21 is not what it used to be. So I am looking for help in 20b. I have scouted south of Cordes Junction and north of Lake Pleasant with no luck. Not looking for secret spots just some areas where we might see a javelin. His hunt starts 1/22/16. Thanks Mike

I would like to thank everyone for there help with areas to check out and spots to look at. My son got his first javelina and 2nd big game animal in 4 months. His first was a Kaibab doe. We found some javelina in a different area of 20b where I didn't expect them to be. But he dropped this sow on his first shot at 80 yards with his Remington 700 .243 One proud dad here. I think he is hooked on hunting!! Thanks again everybody, Mike

What is the rim size?

Not yet. Finally saw 2 cow elk today. Maybe a bull tomorrow. A lot of hunters have gone home so maybe the elk will come out of hiding?

I drove by a camp today they had the bull hung up by its antlers with the hide still on and in full sun. Shook my head and kept driving. It look like it had been there a few days. Not the way I will do it when I get my bull.

Is that in 7w?
