As I often gaze at my Nuge - Whackmaster Autographed pic, I wonder what it will be like someday to hunt Buffalo? I am really happy for you man- please share the hunt experience with us , so we can feel the the SPIRIT OF THE WILD! Congrats- You drew one my dream hunts! You going bow? or putting the smack down with the rifle? AzP&Y

Mesquite trees can make a nice mount if you are down in a creek bottom. A bear box with lag bolts and Python lock works real well. Bungees will stretch, fade and rot in the hot desert climate. Good luck-! AzP&Y

A couple of years ago , I read a book "chulo" - all about coatimundi's. It was excellent ... Talks about heirarchy of the tribe, habitat, feeding , breeding - all of that stuff. You can get a used copy on Amazon for 1.99. This family lived, researched and studied Coati's for a long time in Arizona. (it dispells a lot of myths)- but put the chocolate in a safe place http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/039...6577&sr=1-7 Enjoyed the pics... AzP&Y

Well to be honest, they are some stiff ones for sure. I recently purchased some underarmour baseball wicking socks to try to help with the heat factor. The shank is pretty stiff, but I'm about 5 miles into the boots and am slowly seeing them get broken in. I think it will definetely take some more time. The snake guards are probably the most comfortable way to go, especially for long hikes. Glad you were able to steer clear of the serpents! Thanks for sharing- love the match sets! AzP&Y

Real nice set - Single shot- Any more snake sightings? Thanks for sharing! AzP&Y

Cool. THanks for the reply. I wasn't implying there are problems, but rather inquiring to see if Scott's through a heavy down pour had leakage. Chasinggame does great "objective" reviews without bias. That is what testing should be. AzP&Y - Again Nice PIcs Scott and thanks for sharing

Man the clarity on those SG cams is excellent. Any problems with them leaking? I've heard those replys (covert II) on other websites. http://www.chasingame.com/forum/viewtopic....0cb0a122f68afba Looks like if it made it through that down pour it can handle anything! AzP&Y

AZP&Y replied to AZP&Y's topic in Classified Ads
Hi bob, I just sent you a PM and an email to your account. SPF. Azp&Y -
Alex, Sounds like you are right on the verge of your first buck. Keep the focus- it's the key to any big game animal. Javelina can be darn right spooky... There one minute then vanish the next. They are a hoot with the bow. If you are going to hard core bow hunt coues I would start thinking about climbing trees and invest in a nice tree-stand set up. If it doesn't suit you or your hunting style. Sell that and buy a ground blind. Glassing is a great way to hunt em also, but once you locate them, closing the gap is where it get's real interesting... Keep it up, your attitude is right, just by reading your post. Lots of positive energy. AzP&Y

Sierra Club wants lion tag to auction
AZP&Y replied to billrquimby's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
Sierra Club- better update their website with some more accurate information. Due to their large home ranges it is has been difficult to attain good population data on the mountain lion. Some individual populations are listed as threatened or endangered. Mountain lions as a whole face serious threats, however, due to major habitat loss and fragmentation by highways and development. There is a year-round hunting season on mountain lions in Arizona They obviously aren't getting the information correct and need help with the basic G & F regulations. (sure some areas are open year around-but the 3 month 'moratorium' is going to go to what next time? Read on more about your local "Arizona" sierra club- http://arizona.sierraclub.org/conservation/mt-lion/index.asp AzP&Y -

I checked the cams and noticed these 2 Muleys that are in real ROUGH shape. One of the younger does seems to have black spots covering the entire body - they look almost like cysts. The other mature Doe appears to be pregnant, but something is not right with the protrusion. Calling all biologists or anyone that may have an idea what is wrong with these deer? I graduated college , but my degree was not in biology I'm going to consult my book- Deer of the Southwest tonight and see if I can 'shed' some light on these sickly muleys. The dates and times are correct on the cameras. Thanks for any insite or knowledge. I am always curious about these things when I'm looking through my pics. AzP&Y Doug

Real nice archeology there... Arrow heads and human skulls (amanda's post) - that's why I love this site. Diversity at it's best- Never know what you're gonna find in Az. AzP&Y

Secondshot, Nice shed! I was out yesterday and didn't see one of the slithering critters or sheds, but was on the lookout. I picked these up and I must say gave me a slight more piece of mind. I was tromping through some thick/nasty stuff too. They are a bit stiff, but I don't think I'll shed hunt without them. 79.00 bucks @ Sierra Trading post... Sorry- not trying to high jack your shed thread. Real nice bone- ! Thanks for sharing! AzP&Y

Nice job Clay- looks like the secret mixture is producing some consistent action! By August that one is going to be a MONSTER! Thanks for sharing the pics! AzP&Y Doug
