I sent my Garmin back and they replaced it no questions asked for $89.00 - new (refurb) unit. I was exchanging back from 2001 and got 5 solid years out of it. If I was going to get another GPS it would be the Bushnell Onix 400. Real time satellite over lay maps. XM radio built into the unit. Full color graphics. Quick acquiring transmission (how many times have you waited for the garmin to acquire satellites in thick cover). More than 20 minutes a couple of times. Also full XM weather satellite that will pinpoint your location, the severity of the storm (via xm weather map transmission). Read on - It's cutting edge and makes the garmin look like a dinosaur... http://www.bushnell.com/gps/gps.cfm AzP&Y

I had the 36 b hunt last year and spent LOTS of time down there... Don't just think they are are all coming NORTH----- Instead we were catching them coming south as well (back and forth) .... It goes on ALL year long... Just something to consider when creeping down those washes... Good Luck - don't ever let your guard down... AzP&Y

Elkman- real sorry to hear about your fur/hide not turning out for the mount. Jim- that's some good info , with the sweltering temps and heat advisories.. AzP&Y

I believe what you are referring to needs to be scanned by say the humane society. It does not actually emit a 'tracking signal' like Lo Jack... So when the pet is brought to the proper location, they can be 'scanned' and that information is on file and the owner contacted... If they have "lo jack" for dogs- that would still be cool... I know they have developed it for lap tops...just haven't heard about that for pets.. I see in the near future - someone booby trapping one of these cams , like the VC did to the US in vietnam... PS- THIS WASN"T my idea... AzP&Y

Sorry to hear about your memory card, cams and d bull blind... For a guy who wants to "start' getting into some trail cam recon- after reading this stuff , boy it makes it difficult to spend the $$ on a quality set up, gas and time to check them out. It's too bad they can't develop some technology that renders the camera useless if you don't know the code... AzP&Y

Another real nice Apache Buck- Maybe I can marry into the tribe? AzP&Y

Anyone hike the Arizona Trail from the US/MEX border to parker canyon lake through "miller peak wilderness" in the Huachucas? It's pretty much trashed. It's kinda like that commercial where the native american sheds a tear when he sees all of the trash and garbage lying in the river... It's mountain goat country 3500 vertical rise- tough to patrol...So we'll see how this all pans out for "wilderness"... AzP&Y
