Case and point - the Arizona and Nevada Auction ELK tags- those comments have gotten WAY out of hand...I think they call it EXTREME BASHING. I also check that site out from time to time , but have NEVER joined. I don't think their pics are as real & genuine as CWT members and what they contribute... just my .02 AzP&Y

I SAW RON G'S POST AND THOUGHT YOU GUYS MIGHT ENJOY THIS.. I SPENT THE ENTIRE MONTH OF APRIL IN INDIA... NOT INDIANA , BUT INDIA... I WAS ON MY WAY BACK TO MY DRIVERS CAR IN NEW DELHI AND RAN ACROSS THIS GUY...THERE MUST BE A BETTER WAY TO EARN A LIVING, (I THOUGHT TO MYSELF). BECAUSE IT WAS MY FIRST FULL DAY IN INDIA, I HAD NO IDEA HOW MUCH TO GIVE THIS GUY , TO ALLOW ME TO TAKE THE PICTURE SO I GAVE HIM 10 RUPEES...IT'S A ABOUT A QUARTER IN US CURRENCY...HE STARTED YELLING AT ME, AND I TOLD THE DRIVER TO PUNCH IT AND GET THE HECK OUT OF DODGE. A MAN WITH COBRA IN HIS HAND WAS ENOUGH FOR ME... WHEN I GET MORE TIME, I'LL POST SOME MORE PICS OF A ONE A KIND PLACE...CHANGED MY VIEW ON LIFE FOREVER! THE TAJ IS ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE....!!! New Items this year in field?
AZP&Y replied to firstcoueswas80's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Going with the Jim White Tripler *(3X)- read Coosefan's review and thought it was a must have. I like light-weight things (gadgets) and this should come in handy when glassin'... AzP&Y Doug -
Charlie, We used it last year for our 36b hunt. Duwane gave us some detailed information, but he's not going to say "go to these gps coordinates". It was 250.00 for the map and well worth the investment. Gave us 5 or so spots to 'check out' Also we took glassing lessons from him last August , it was like 200.00 -250.00 per person. It was a 1/2 day session. It was the best investment ever. Even more than the map service IMO. Good luck and hope you guys drop a bruiser up there.. AzP&Y

Sweet Trip Scott- 4 sure! I used to work for club med back in the 80's and we would spend many a weekend @ Sonora Bay Club Med, right on the sea of cortez & coast as you were. Some fun dos equis stories and partying at the discoteque until dawn. I always think of that film "catch 22" that was filmed down there many years ago, when I see those mountains. Great escape and it's only a matter of time before you bring home the BILLFISH of lifetime! Thanks for sharin! AzP&Y Doug

Prior to my trip to the peaks in Flag and quick 5 day trip to Iowa ... I was able to spend 3 days running around the Santa Ritas. 15 miles of hiking on the Arizona Trail (section 4), the scenery was absolutely spectacular. Sore feet left me glassin and was able to locate 2 nice black (cinnamon) bears, some nice coues and this Goulds. So far I've seen Goulds in 3 Arizona mountain ranges: Huachuchas, Santa Catalinas , and Santa Ritas... Looks like the reintroduction is going well. Just before sunset, I was able to locate this nice 5pt shed and attempted an Arizona Highways "SHED SHOT" . Hence " evening bone" - get your minds out of the gutter- this is a family website! Good luck to you rifle hunters that drew tags- The coues are awatin' .... http://www.aztrail.org/passages/pass_04.html AzP&Y Doug

Coconino and Kaibab National Forests Lift Closures, Some Restrictions For Immediate Release Date: July 19, 2007 Contact: Coconino Supervisor's Office 928-527-3600 or Jackie Denk on the Kaibab National Forest at 928-635-8314 WILLIAMS, AZ — Due to recent rains, the Coconino and Kaibab National Forests plan to lift all closures and some fire restrictions at 8 a.m. tomorrow (Friday, July 20). The entire Coconino National Forest is open to public use except for the area directly surrounding the Birdie Fire. As of 8 a.m. tomorrow, all fire restrictions will be lifted. “We have received significant precipitation over the last couple of weeks with more on the way, according to forecasts,” said Bruce Greco, fire staff officer for the Coconino National Forest. “We feel comfortable that the risk of fire starts has been reduced enough to lift all restrictions on the Coconino National Forest.” While the Kaibab National Forest has also received some rain, it has not received as much as the Coconino. Therefore, all closures will be lifted, but campfire and smoking restrictions, known as Stage 1 fire restrictions, will remain in effect forestwide. As of 8 a.m. tomorrow, the North Kaibab Ranger District, which is located north of Grand Canyon National Park, and the Bill Williams Mountain watershed, which is located on the Williams Ranger District just south of the city of Williams, will be reopened to public use. That means activities such as camping, hiking, biking and motorized vehicle use will again be allowed in the areas. All other areas of the Kaibab National Forest will remain open. On all districts of the Kaibab National Forest, campfire and smoking restrictions will remain in effect.
