Shot with a ulmer edge, complete pass thru broke 2 ribs and part of the shoulder. My arrow is fine and broadhead is with minor touch up to the blade will be good to go again. Very happy with the performance and pig went barely 10 yrds and fell dead. Massive trauma.

Looking for recommendations on pull on style western work boots. I currently own a pr of Rockys. My last pair of Rockys were great and lasted almost 4 yrs of daily wear. This pair is falling apart after 6+ months. Considering Ariat workhogs. Anyone have a good suggestion? I wear my boots daily and for just about everything.

Hoyt Carbon Spyder? Mathews Creed?

Actually for those that don't know, the manufacturing companies don't even begin to make left handed bows until late Dec early Jan. It has nothing to do with a dealer wanting your money or not. I'm a lefty working in the archery industry at a top selling pro shop for both Hoyt and Mathews and have connections in Hoyt and still can't get my bow any faster. To the OP, if you are even considering the carbon spyder then get it. No other bow can compare period. I am getting the turbo version and man it's a long wait but getting that high quality of a bow is worth it. Let me know if i can help in any way. -
ArcheryHQ has the heads up decoy hats.

Ok I'm sure this will upset a few people but why is it when a hunter misses or his broadhead doesnt blow a hole like dynamite or blow through and go another 100 yrds it's the broadhead to blame? It killed the animal in a timely fashion flew and flew straight. An elk is extremely dense and i know of a few hunters shooting 500gr arrows 80+ lbs cut on contact fixed blade heads and arrows just pushing through the other side but still being lodged inside. Big deal. It worked and killed what you shot at. Isn't that enough?

I fletch many arrows for customers at the pro shop. I have shot many styles and while i love the look and flight of the AAE MAX HUNTERS if you are ever down range and hear them in flight you would throw them away. They whistle in flight. I use the Blazer vanes. They fly great stay true and are quiet fletched in the Az EZ FLETCH tool you get an incredible amount of helical.

Thanks and I'll look into that as well. I was thinking of either getting it mounted and keeping in my living room or was really thinking of mounting it and hanging it at work. So many people coming into Archery HQ every day kinda figured it would be a great place to display it.

Well Sunday November 3 started off as a beautiful day. The wife and I were getting ready to get out of the house early when she suggests I bring my bow just in case. (Gotta love that) Well we are off and on our way to Globe to ride around in the Pinals for the day. We hit Ice House Canyon Rd and no sooner begin our ascent up the hill as a coyote jumps in front of us as we were driving and I couldn't get it together and get my shot off so I decided not to try. We continue going up the mountain and don't see much but a few squirrels. Back down and over to Signal Peak side. Just where the oaks and brush gave way to the pines a huge squirrel runs across the road and I decide to grab the bow and have some fun. The wife says there is another one on her side that's closer. Well I sneak around to her side when movement catches my attention from the corner of my eye. I look down into a canyon to see a brown fur ball and can't make it out to identify it. I slowly crawl down about 25 ft. I can now see it more clearly. A coatimundi. I turn to the wife as I just realized she is still holding the camera and my range finder. With out a word she nods and knows what to do. A beautiful underhand toss down into the canyon and perfectly into my waiting hand and now I'm set. I range it at 32 yards and nock and arrow and draw back. I settle my sights on him and just before I shoot he launches forward and begins to run off. I take quick aim and let an arrow fly. My arrow pins him to the base of a pine tree and he after only seconds wrestles free. I nock another arrow and look back to see where this pursuit is going to go and he climbs the same pine tree he was just pinned to. My arrow still through him he climbs to the top and is trying to grab my arrow and pull it out of him. I aim again and he presents a perfect shot and I let it rip. He screams and falls 30 feet to the ground and is dead only seconds later. After a quick scramble and excitement of actually getting my first bow kill I settle down and call a few people and am told I should get him mounted. Well after a make shift measurement and a rough weight he comes in at 50" long tip of snout to tip of tail and weighs 20 lbs. Judge for yourself and let me know if he is mount worthy as for the moment he is wrapped in news paper and plastic and in my freezer. Here is a pic my lovely wife took. The bow is a HOYT Charger 34.5" from outside edges of cams for rough size estimations.

Yeah i have never seen one before and this was pure luck that i got him but it still feels awesome. I am amazed at how many people have no idea what one even is
-
Yeah he was pretty HOYT that's for sure. Wanting to mount him but not @ the $1000.00 cost

I have shot Scott's, truball, and trufire. I was using the truball beast and liked it but switched to a trufire hardcore max and liked it the best. I then switched to carter and now shoot a stan and have no intentions on changing any time soon.
