Even if the date was incorrect, it was not in a tree, it was on the ground facing up, no sigh of any hanging devices in any trees around. Guess this could be a new way of using a trail camera. Take picture of the bottom of the animal. I do believe it has been laying out in the sun for awhile all the plastic is brittle and cracked. I have found many other camera in trees that I just leave there without looking at the SD card. either a person removed this camera and threw it or, I believe it was broken from the original spot by a bear, due to the teeth marks. None of my cameras default to January 2014. Just curious, why would anyone not use the correct date in their camera? Wouldn't you want to know what day a particular animals picture was taken without doing math to figure out the actual date.

Why would a lynch mob be looking for someone who is returning a found camera. I believe the lynch mob is for the people that are stealing cameras.

I am selling my Meopta spotting scope and tripod because I just cannot glass with a spotting scope, I prefer glassing with binos. I have used them maybe 10 times and the then I just left them at home and carried my 15's. The spotting scope is in great shape, no scratched or anything, tripod has never been used and there is also a phone scope adapter. I paid 1554 for the set up and would like to get 1300 or best offer for everything. The spotting scope is very awesome and I like being able to really get a close look at animals with them, I just cannot put in the hours behind them the same way I can with binoculars.

wannakillabigbull, most people will not tell you good hunting spots or muddy roads to avoid via the internet, because then everyone from the valley will be camped out in your spot the night before the opener. I personally give lots of info to people when I meet them out in the sticks. I think if you just put some time in you and walk at least 1 mile from the you will be ahead of 97% of the other tag holders. Use the road hunters to your advantage. you will be alright if you stick to your plan and don't tell anyone on the internet what you found scouting until you have the elk packed out and at the taxidermist. don't be surprised to think you have the whole place to yourself because of the lack of people you will see on scouting trips. the night before and opening morning you will be wondering where did all these people come from. keep that in mind during scouting and how to use the flood of people to your advantage.

Latches are cheap to replace. To each his own, I have had the same igloo cooler for 10 years and it has been bounced around and banged up in numerous trucks, jeeps, and rangers etc. and it still works great. I am personally not paying 4-500 dollars for a cooler that's a complete waist and other than marketing from the manufacturer I see no reason to have one unless I get it at a raffle or somewhere else for free. I have used my igloo in the same camp as friends and had the same results at a fraction of the price. Yeti coffee cups are bad azz, but now everyone makes one. I did pay 40$ for the cup, it was the only one at that time.

Sounds like you have enough elk hunting experience that you should not have to ask people on the internet for advise. Just put the time in and your experience to work and im sure you will find what your looking for. You will get better results doing your own homework than asking others for info, especially in AZ where elk tags are few and far between. good luck.

Put some weather stripping between the lid and the cooler box and your ice will last just as long in decent cooler. you can buy alot of stripping for the price of a yeti or canyon cooler.

Nice Job. How many miles do you think he put on all together to get all those sheds.

surprising they live for very long, they really are not the smartest animal in the woods. Had them walk right up to me @ bull pen. I bet lions really like hunting them over a wary coues buck.

Putting your family first is hard for many people, they usually end up wishing they spent more time with them in the end. your doing the right thing.

Just send your rifle to Hollands Guns for one of their brakes. They are the best.

How much does one of those tags cost? -
I think they will take lick anytime they find salt or any mineral no matter the season. Are the bucks that are hitting your salt in winter the same bucks as summer?

I have a pair of Swaro 15x56 SLC Binos for sale. They came back from Swarovski with new glass and prisms. I would like to get 1350$ for them. I am only selling them because i have more than 1 pair of binos to glass with. They are in great shape and the price is reasonable, compared to new.
