So I found a matched set of sheds (found inches apart) that are VERY coues looking! Found very very high on a secluded mountain where no people go.

If you have a sports authority around you. I grabbed a bunch of merino socks from them in their going out of business deal. Don't know if they have all closed

The Teton insulated jacket is super warm. Ran it under my soft Shell last season. Was sweating in the teens. Had to take it off until I got to my glassing spot

Worn on one scouting trip. Don't like the low crown of the hat. Doesn't pull down enough on my noggin. Ordered the boonie instead.

I wouldn't just pass up the opportunity to take your kid out on a challenging hunt. That is exactly What is wrong with our children today! They are faced with a difficult situation and don't even want to stand up amd work to overcome something difficult. 20c can pay off Big time. Their are some great deer In there if you are willing to work for em. NOTHING that is worth anything is served up in a silver platter! Don't let someone's single post or experience sway you from enjoying time with your kid!

I use a Jimmy Tarps Granite Mountain tent. He is a small business out of Oregon. He is also a retired firefighter paramedic. If you are going floor less you are going to NEED a bivy here in AZ!! He also makes a bivy. The tent uses one trekking pole or stick about 48" tall and seven stakes. Compresses down to softball size. I love the thing. Think it weighs in at 8oz.

In true timber. Used for less than a year. Hauled out 3 deer and washed thoroughly after each outing. Still in great condition. No rips, tears fraying or stains. Only reason for sale is to fund the new long range pack. Make an offer

Cannot wait to get off shift and pick mine up! -
This was my very first time targeting coues deer. In a unit with 10% success rate. I worked my tail off for seven days trying to locate bucks. with a muzzy hunt the week prior I knew bucks were gunna be pushed further than the average Joe wanted to go. So I went there. I was seeing lots of coues does and knew a buck would show himself if I kept persistent. This was only the second buck I had seen in seven days and the last day I could hunt. I'm beyond proud of this buck and all the hard work it takes to put one down. and for another year I got to experience it all with my grandfather by my side. Ive been bitten by the coues bug!

I competed in the TTH event this past weekend and placed 4th overall in the mens open and qualified for nationals. If you are looking to challenge yourself to your absolute max and do it with your bow in hand I highly recommend you take part next year. It was a great time with alot of good folk and the camaraderie was awesome. This was my first time competing in TTH and I'm hooked. My body hates me but every step of the 3.5 mile 100Lb meat haul well worth it. Good luck this season gentlemen!
