MDF Phoenix chapter has proudly adopted the Gold Bar Ranch! Through the AZGFD Adopt-a-ranch program. We will have our first project later this month (July 25, 26 & 27, 2014). We are restoring & cleaning a historic ditch that is fed by the Hassayampa River. The ditch feeds the private lake, campground and alfalfa fields on the Gold Bar and returns to the Hassayampa downstream. We will be shoveling out soot that has built up in the ditch, removing any downed foliage that is present, patching any concrete cracks and replacing culverts. Please bring shovels, work gloves & pruning shears. Our goal is to have the two mile ditch debris free for optimal flow above and below the ranch. The ditch and lake are used by all wildlife in the area (prime Mule Deer habitat). The private campground will be our camp. Amenities include restrooms, showers, electrical hook ups for trailers & access to the privately stocked lake and ranch. So bring a fishing pole and tackle for down time. We hope to see some new faces and make new friends! For more info about the Gold Bar Ranch contact owner/operator Ella McCracken. Or visit their website http://www.goldbarranchbb.com/

Wow. Best archer in the state and loses 3 bulls on one hunt? Sounds like a guy I know. I no longer hunt with him.....we call him "coyote" -

Seen a nice bull hit with a rage.... That's all i saw..... If I were to shoot a mechanical it'd be a Swhacker. -

That's a nice bear. That's a hard choice. Big Blackie or cinnabear! Good luck bud. When does your hunt open?

we all hope it wasn't illegally taken... mule deer hold a special place with me and im sure a few others out there. i am in no means a "hater" and have had my share of opportunities at majestic mulies like this "bomber" buck and "hightower". so i know the work that goes into it. congrats if it was harvested within means of the law!! if it wasnt, so be it and hope they learn their lesson. time will tell...

It mounts to the front where a stabilizer normally mounts but the mount is an arm that holds the stabilizer out to the side and front of your bow. It fully adjustable. Front to back adjustment. Left to right. You can add weights. It'll perfectly balance your bow especially @ full draw with a loaded quiver if set up properly. Im setting up a new hunting bow. I was gunna put a beestinger on it but did a little research and the ss1 seems to fit the agenda for hunting. No crazy side bar to deal with or get in yhe way. Hope that helps. Do a YouTube search on it. Plenty of video from ATA show explaining the product. Or go to Ross Outdoors and try one on your rig. The guys will be sure to help you out.

Thought this was an awesome app that will save alot of arrows, time $ money. Hopefully it'll be available for android users. Hopefully it can be backed and available for download soon! Technological wizardry at its finest! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/velocitip/uno-the-science-of-archery

+1 for the fellas @ ross outdoors

+1 Stokerized Ss1. Eliminates the need for a back bar. Keeping the bow slimmer and center of gravity tighter.

I also am on the route to being hired on with a fire dept. Others have suggested PD but I am severely allergic to lead! ;-) A little bird told me that Glendale and Peoria fire will be hiring soon.. recerting my EMT at the moment. Also have to recert my CPAT . Goodluck on the job hunt!
