That is truly an awesome specimen. I def. want one with a face like that. nice taxidermy work!!!

What's so ironic is the greenies are ok with a wolf shredding an elk from the butt end forward while its alive, but a human can't harvest the same animal in a humane way. In other words a wolf has more rights than us, and we just need to keep buying hamburgers from the nearest burger joint.

It would be very diff. to beat A3's track record. Sounds like they are the one's to go with. Good luck.

101 to 104. Crushed by g3 on the left, and narrow spread credit to boot. He is still a big buck though with a great frame!! Pass unless it's with a bow and wait to see if his g3 looks better next year.

I want a drone, and a hopped up quad with nitrous oxide injection. Then when i located a big buck with my drone i could get over to him real fast by hitting the nitrous. What a deal!!

Duck Depression
couesmagnet replied to CouesPursuit's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
Wish i could reach into those pics and pet your dog. Labs are the best!!!! I've never been duck hunting before, and some day i would love to try it. Great pics and thanks for posting!! -
Sorry bojangles i don't post pics on sites of any of the animals i have harvested, and probably never will, especially if its a giant. My buck had a 210 typical frame with a 4 inch kicker, and netted 199 inches, far from the world record, but he does easily net boone and crockett. Good luck in the future, and have fun up there if you draw.

Weekend Fishing Report... You won't believe it..
couesmagnet replied to Anderson_HOTD69's topic in Fishing
I sure hope your not keeping the browns out of there, they are no longer stalking browns and haven't for at last a decade. It sucks when people have to steal anything that isn't bolted down these days. -
Some coues the family has downed. Nothing over 85" sadly..

Nice work, and some nice bucks!! Looks like a ton of fun. A family that plays together stays together. -
Nice bird, looks like the area around twin trick tank in those clearings. Congrats

Like the smiles in the pics. Sure looks like a lot of fun. Excellent job

You should have stayed for Sunday. We caught a 23.5 inch brown and several other 15 inch plus fish Sunday. The weather was pretty nice. Wasn't woods canyon though.

Bundy is a jackwagon , and needs his meds badly. Just let him open his mouth long enough over the next 2 weeks and it will become more apparant to all, he is really just a sick clown in disquise.. They should have sent in 10 really well trained swat guys with tazers and made a video of him bouncing up and down on the ground for a few seconds. I'm all for getting behind the "little guy", when he's getting ganged up on by big government, but bundy isnt that guy. I'm embarrassed that the republican party or at least the fringe elements of it started to align themselves with his way of thinking, cause it makes the party look like a bunch of freaks, and by the way i have voted republican since i was old enough to vote. There are good fights and there are bad fights. Not good for republicans at all .

There is almost no one riding the fenc eline if your talking about the december hunt, because the fence line is over all a waist of time during the late hunt. If you want to get away from people during the late hunt i would recommend sitting the fence line. If your talking about the early hunt there arent enough tags to flood the fence line even if everyone sat on it. Good luck.

Becker, nice write up and over all i agree. The reason why i would rather have moisture than age on the strip is because of what i saw in 2012 verses 2011. I had my tag in 2011 and i had over 15 bucks over 190, and at least 5 to 6 that went between 200 and 225. Almost all these deer made it thru the 2011 season. The next year in 2012 i was back up ther again and every one of the buck was down 25 or more inches, but still another year older. 2012 was a horrible rain year wise when compared to the banner years of 2010 and 2011. That was when the light bulb when off for me, cause this was a direct comparison to the year before which was wet so to speak when there were tons more big bucks . This proved that even though the bucks were a year older in 2012, and a lot of the buck on my cameras in 2011 were 3 to 5 years old, they actually significantly reduced their antler growth due to lack of moisture. This was a direct comparison to age verses moisture content in my eyes, and moisture had clearly won out to age. There are plenty of 3 to 5 year old bucks on the strip that were 1 to 2 years old in 2010 and 2011 that made it thru. Based on this fact, if we got lots of rain , all of these bucks could potentially go over 200 or much higher if we had rain. The 285 buck blew up far more because of moisture content than age in my opinion. If that same buck would have been killed even 2 years later in 2012 he would have been 40 inches or more smaller even though he was 2 years older than when he was harvested at 285. A 240 buck in 2011 would have been lucky to have gone 205 in 2012. Moisture trumps 2 to 3 years of age every day of the week in my opinion if its a wet year. The strip hasn't seen the moisture levels it saw in 2010 and 2011 since then, and this is pretty much the only reason the outfitters aren't seeing a bunch of big bucks any more on their cameras. Without the rain they wont see many till it rains, and then the big bucks will grow like rats and another banner year would ensue. I know most of the outfitters and have seen their camera comparisons of bucks shaving 15 to 40 inches in 2012 and 2013, and these deer are 1 to 2 years older than when they were much bigger in 2010 and 2011.

First muzzy whitetail hunt
couesmagnet replied to Couestracker's topic in Muzzleloader hunting for Coues Deer
Sounds exciting. I have always wanted to get one with a muzzleloader , but haven't had the juevos to try it. Good luck!! -
Lol, not possible, but its ok it made a good story though.

I call bs on finding 4 broadheads amongst the bones, and then finding 5 in another. That's impossible to get hit that many times with any broadhead and get away. Also 16 shots in any deer would be impossible even if it was a 22. Sorry

Strangest thing that has ever came into your call???
couesmagnet replied to lionhunter's topic in Predator Hunting and Trapping
I was elk calling in the gila in new mexico about 8 years ago, and i had 3 mexican grey wolves come into 20 yards. They stayed there for 10 minutes. Ugly critters , always thought they would look more majestic.
