KeithV replied to stalkincoues's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
i too fall into this category i need boots in the worst way.I have looked at the lowas here at gila outdoor and they are nice a friend of mine has meindls its a toss up for me. -
Heys thanks for the cool responses,I was fortunate enough to draw a december tag and know the unit very well. This will be my first late season tag Since it was a multi unit tag and they couldnt give them away. I have five sons so we try to get two tags per hunt that way we are not trying to find six coues at a time ,i have a tough time finding one.so usually i am out there from october through december.I usually start glassing at the end of august and go out when time and money permit, even though Ihave a deceber tag I am not going to change anything.

well coach i was was trying to start a small debate no advice. iwas wondering how many people will still be out every weekend till december hunt opens or if they wil just go out from time to time. due to the other hunts taking place prior to the december hunt

thank tou for the infomtion BLAKE,I was loking back on savages site and saw the rifle i was talking about its a 110 predator hunter max. I dont think my boy needs an adjustible cheek piece or a muzzle brake. I do like the look and features of both rifles and will probabely ask more in the future.

Hey Guys and Gals, This is my 16 year old son's very first deer. It was one of my proudest moments as a father. He spotted this buck at 11:30am, it was a scorcher out there. Come to find out, there were actually 2 bucks, they looked like a set of twins. My son made an excellent stalk, got within 400 yards and set up and took his shot at the bigger of the two bucks. The first shot dropped him in his tracks, one more shot for the kill. There was NO ground shrinkage, , the closer we got, the bigger the antlers got!! I was so excited for my son that I almost threw up. The buck was scored at 104 inches. This is the 1st deer we have harvested as a family since my father passed away in 06. The tradition was passed on to the 3rd generation. Hope you like pics, Keith V

Thanks again everyone for the nice comments, hunting these grey ghosts for our family is a passion. I appreciate all the feed back from everyone. Ryan thanks for being so cool to the boys they enjoyed talking to you. we also enjoyed the pics. Bryant told me he had talked to you the first weekend. he hunted with his step dad which of course was rough for me especially when carl got his there were two almost identical bucks..
