That was my first thought also. If there are 30,000 OTC tags sold every year, that equates to an extra $210,000 per year in app fees they are missing out on. I'll bet that 99% of all hunters applying for an archery deer tag would get their tag. Next up - fall bear hunts, lion, and archery turkey. The almighty dollar comes into play in game mangement once again. I'm against an archery draw, the harvest by archers in the state pales in comparsion to rifle hunts. born2bhuntin- I normally have a archery tag and a rifle tag each year, and never kill more than one deer, sometimes I don't even do that, it's a double dose of tag soup. Those who do what you say are poachers not hunters.

Yeah he has alot of mass, a very nice desert mulie, we hunted him and another monster that ran with him for a few years, until they were poached. It broke my heart, I haven't been back to the area since. Looking at his sheds I know I need to go back, cause he's got to have offspring. That stinks. Did they catch the poacher? NO, the poachers were undocumented farm workers, to put it nicely. The man that owns the farm and employed the illegals , found them with the deer, but did not report them for obivious reasons. My hunting buddy reported this to Game and Fish, but nothing ever came of it! I should name the farmer but I won't!

Heres a set I found in 37a, a couple years back. This buck hung out with 4 other nice bucks.

My kids have this hunt. The Kaibab has good deer numbers, so the kids will all have a great chance at hatvesting a deer. -

Looks like the mule deer hunter is hunting whitetail again this year. Drew Oct. 36a hunt. Also got Archery javelina 34a/37a/38m. My kids are going doe hunting on the Kaibab in November. Javelina hunting in August, Sept. Mule deer Kaibab, Then if I'm not sucessful in the Kaibab, Oct. Whitetail 36a, then the Kids hunt in Nov., and possibly if I haven't tagged out, December archery deer. I like that a full schedule of hunting to close out the year -

Salt river above Roosevelt is a good spot. I haven't been there in years but we always had good luck around the diversion dam. -
They only do that to me when I miss a shot.
