Randy Ulmer Hunting Accident?
mulie hunter replied to bowsniper's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
The last big mule deer Randy Ulmer took, as I recall from the article I read he spent days sitting under a tree waiting for a shot, Locating a Animal is one thing, putting it all together is entirely different. Just because you locate a trophy animal doesn't mean you be able to make the kill. -
Congrats to your wife, awesome job, great buck!!!!

mulie hunter replied to SilentButDeadly's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
You know I want to see them, I'd also like to see the top 5 mulies. -
Tam I agree with you 100%, no problem with atv's, it's road hunters.
-
I agree stanley we were hoping for cooler weather for the kids hunt, the afternoon's were warm. They still had a blast!

Back in the 1980's met a hunter in 36a, who said he had shot a doe with antlers.
-
Tam I got no problem with responsible atv user's like you, it's the idiot's who ride up and down the roads, and never get off!!! As far as getting away from the roads in some areas I do, in other area's, I know of hotspot's less than a mile from the road. North Kaibab has many spots near the roads, just because of the number of roads in the unit.

How about banning atv use during hunting season!!!! Nothing worse than these clowns that ride up and down the roads all day long, They definetly need a IQ check!!!
-
Congrats on two fine bucks.

I would just like to say Scottyboy and his fellow agents are doing a great job, we were in 36a for the Jr hunt, did not encounter any illegals. Keep up the good work, Scottyboy!

Sorry, We didn't make it by the Jr camp we hunted off hwy 286 for mulies. We saw over 30 deer including 8 bucks, AZRDHD's son had a 3x2 24 yards away opening morning but by the time AZRDHD woke his son up, he couldn't get a shot, AZRDHD can share the story, my daughter had a forkhorn broadside at 125 yards but couldn't see it until it walked behind a tree. The kids saw some real monsters they were too far away! They had a great time, and we'll be out there next weekend. I found a nice 3x3 skull intact.
