My kids drew that tag this year, we will be primarily focusing on mule deer , my son and cousin took two out of 36a last year, I can help with mulies.

I checked the sportsman in Tucson Thurs. night they didn't have the monarch 12x56(poor selection of binos there), guy didn't even know they made a 12x56, what sportman did you find them.

I've been checking these binos on the web, almost bought the bruntons 11x51 $499.00 w/ free shipping, but figure it would be worth a trip to cabelas or sportmans to check them out ,the nikon monarchs 12x56 look like good glass for the money($429.00).

C'mon Sundevil their not that easy, yeah I've had a few stop and look back to see what spooked them. But trust me come hunting season when they get pressured the big boys are tough. I can't agree that a big coues buck is more beautiful, though I've never taken one, who knows if the hunt is good I could become a fanatic about coues like some of you(I doubt it!).

Alright first of all I'm primarily a bow hunter who hunts mule deer. I put in with 3 buddies for deer we got our 5th choice Oct. unit 35a. The last time I hunted whitetail was 12 years ago in unit 32. Were in trouble never hunted 35a, not experienced coues hunters. Need some starting points for preseason scouting. Can a mule deer hunter enjoy whitetail hunting?????

I've hunted Mule deer in 32 around pride ranch and have driven up to jackson cabin a few times , always see nice coues bucks in the area..

If you haven't sold it I'd be interested in it for my daughter.

Thats a nice buck! If I did that on the first day of the hunt, i'd know it was luck, or some good preseason scouting or both. Been hunting too long to consider any big game easy. thanks for the info. when you say sw part of the unit are we talking around parker canyon lake thru that area, I'm planning my first scouting trip in Sept.

Dude, You are talking apples and prunes.... If a guy put in some serius pre season scoutin and asked the same ? then I would say that he needs his head looked at c'mon -06 nothing compares to the beauty of a mature mule deer buck, but I will give you this, once I try coues and yes I will put in some serious scouting just as I do for mulies, I'll let you know if I feel the the same.

36a is a great unit, kids hunted it last year took 2 bucks. They got jr hunt this year. My friend and his wife took 2 nice coues last year in the nov. hunt. There are alot of deer in this unit if you know where to hunt.

No Mulie tag, I got Oct. 35a whitetail(last choice) I need help here, new unit,last time I hunted coues was 12 years ago in unit 32. !!!! no elk, no antelope, archery Javelina units 27 thru 32. Kids got 36a jr hunt thats a good hunt for them!!!

You could only hope the torture has gone on long enough.

How's the hunting around Safford, hunted Deer & Quail in unit 28 in 2004 Quail was great, deer not so great. Thinkin about Quail hunting up there again. Any info will be Appreciated.

Hopefully one day I'll try and fletch my own arrows again ,this post has given me new hope, my earlier attempts didn't work to well, for now though it's the pro shop.

The $78.00 dollars that was pending posted today along with $12.50 for Javelina, and now there is another $78.00 fee pending from azgfd could it be a elk tag????? One is for 4 deer tags, the other Elk!!!!! I hope I'm not getting excited for nothing!!!! My kids deer tags posted Thursday.

Stanley, How can someone who has always been a mule deer hunter refer to them as "carp"? I know it's coues deer hunter slang but I will never get used to it or use it. No offense I agree I am still a mule deer hunter and don't like the term carp. Who knows one day I may hunt Coues and love it ,I am actually thinking of bowhunting them in Jan.
