Drew Unit 33 Need Scouting Info
Coues 'n' Sheep replied to 257longshot's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
I like that one canyon..... It is much better if you hunt it from the bottom, we killed two bucks there opening morning before the guy hunting at the top could get to them!! -
Advice on Scope BDC's for long range shots
Coues 'n' Sheep replied to Atypical's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
My buddy has the B&C Retical (Leupold) on his 300 Wby and loves it.... I just recently bought a Huskamaw Optics (scope) for 300 Wby.... It has windage hash marks but no elevation which I prefir.... They will build me a custom turret to match my ammo once I have supplied them with all the info. The first turret is included in the cost of the scope.... each additional is extra..... Google "The Best Of The West" Good Luck! CnS -

Has anyone tried the Sprint Slik Pro??? I am considering ordering it or the Sherpa 600 from (Amanda) CW.com store. I have a Velbon that I have used for years that is the 3 leg extention version of the Sherpa and love it.... With all the diga-scoping and stuff it would be nice to have another setup (lighter weight... for packing). I just bought another Outdoorsman head from GTT so now is the time to buy the legs for it. My biggest concern for the Slik Pro is how it performs in the wind..... it is often windy when sheep hunting.... so it needs to be stable under weight. Thanks for any input.... CnS

Good point..... I know a guy that had his trail Cam smashed to peices and left laying all around his tree...... It took their pictures as they smashed it to bits (SD card made it). It turned out to be a Prominent Payson, Child Psychiatrist and her husband!! If it was Greenies... they may have looked throught the windows and then broke in.... What a shame either way.... My deepest apologies to Ed. CnS

I caught the end of American Archer....."If your looking for a great off season hunt, come hunt these cute little deer in Mexico".... I guess it is impossible to get those big time Eastern Whittail hunters to respect how much tuffer these deer are..... making their horn (smaller) size a Much greater trophy..... I personally think that hunting Mulies is much harder than Eastern Whittails..... so if we call Mulies...."Carp"..... What do we call Eastern Whittail????? And yes.... I spelled it Whittail on purpose.... LOL!! -

Trail Cams
Coues 'n' Sheep replied to reddog's topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
I have found that the slower trigger is ok with elk, but can be a disadvantage on deer.... But I am not willing to put a 300 or 400 dollar cam in the woods to get stollen just to get one or two more pics.....IMO.... -
