Nice buck
Coues 'n' Sheep replied to 200"mulie's topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
That buck should have no problem hitting the 90" mark (or more) based on that one pic... other angles might tell a different story. Best of luck on him! -

I agree... but I never like hunting the first week for that reason... The horns are almost 100% by the last week... that is when I'd rather be out there... they still have dark blue bulbs on the beams and and g-3...all that fluid in the end just drys up...and you get them back from the taxi with major shrinkage. I'll be bear hunting The first days of the hunt if we score then I'll help my wife try for her first archery turkey.

Congrats on another successful hunt! Awesome!

One more year on that Young bull and he'll be a shooter. Thanks for sharing.

Yes... 1-10 twist is plenty. And the heavy barrel is not needed for hunting...one shot one kill. Heavy is for benches and more than 3-5 shots in a row... Lots of good buys... there is 300WSM just posted that will make a good "starter"... ought to be a 600 yarder anyhow, I'd think. Just my $.02...

That is great! A friend of mine was up there getting his card as well. I hear Woody puts on a Great Class!

It truely blows me away the number of guys suffering theft losses... and it sorta spooks me, cuz I just put out a brand new cam the other evening, unlocked, and 12' up a tree... hoping it would be safe... now I have cold feet and wanna go pull it. Funny thing is I found another guys cam and some other equipment about a 1/4 mile away all unlocked... so that made me a bit more confident to do the same. He was in a great spot and I checked out his set up at a distance... then walked up and got right infront of the camera with a "thumbs up" for him so that he could see that I stopped by for a visit. Whatever is coming into his spot is not my business... even tho I have had cameras just about right where he is before and likely will again. Matter of fact.. I had an SD card erased there... but for me I think if more guys talk with buddies about respecting others, start disscussions like this about it, teach our children and their friends about it, then maybe word will get around that it Ain't Cool to mess with stuff you find in the woods... just maybe it will help. I know we will always suffer losses from Anti-hunters and hikers... but losses due to other sportsman is just nothing but bad for all of us... it breeds hate that divides us...

I think Ross Outoors (not sure if that is the right name? maybe it was Ross Rental Equipment?) Rents optics..... Thought so anyhow... but I personally would be scared to rent... anytime I even borrow something it seems that odd stuff almost happens...LOL.

I'll be selling some used cameras this weekend at the yard sale @ Chasin' a Dream Outfitters in Payson...they also have boxes that will help discourage theft or tampering... if any of you need a couple...
-
yard Sale starts at 9am...plenty of hours in the day to make a trip to Payson!! I know I will have cameras, tree stand stuff, and just about anything else thatI come accross that I have not used in the last year of hunting...

It pisses me off that AZGF starts the bear hunts sooo early... So Dam HOT!!! And the hunting doesn't even get fun for bears till Oct & Nov.... That is when I see most of the biggest bears I see all year... Not to say I won't hunt... just kind wanted to vent about it... I'm not gunna hunt till the 19th (still too early IMO), but really looking forward to the later hunts... Good luck you those of you that brave the heat this weekend... plan accordingly so you don't lose that meat or the hide... bears are way too cool to waste!
