    LOST!!!!

Hey everyone, we need your help....... My buddy was out looking for lion tracks up on the Control Road North of Payson yesterday. While he was back in there he ran into a friend, and they were shooting the BS..... He pulled out the horns of his Oct. Rifle Coues deer to show them to his friend...... after a while they split up and drove away, leaving the rack sitting on the roof of the truck!! He is Freaking Out.... he has several big bucks but this is on of his better ones (111"-112"). It still has his tag on it and is either out there in the snow or some one picked it up off of the road yesterday afternoon. So If anyone was up on the Control Road yesterday Please PM me.... we are hoping that someone has it and that it has not been crushed under the snow..... Thanks.

Aren't you a bit young to be retired???? It is alright with us if you go to work so that there are still a couple of horns left this weekend.....

    In market for new bow

I bought my Switchback at Bear Mountain...they seem to have a pretty good staff and a lot of different bows to shoot....including those bows with the 4 letter bad word starting with "H" on them...

    Any brownies yet?

Dude.....nice 7x7 set!!!! Pics are hard to judge.... but I'd guess 350" maybe it is more? Congrats to you on a great day!!!

    Any brownies yet?

Here is the horn on the right side again. It is a 7 point and would go 360 + with a 35" spread. Someone has the other side we think.... and it is a perfect match 7 point.... we saw this bull in late Nov.

    Any brownies yet?

Here are some browns that my buddy Luke found in about a day and 2 hrs. of horn hunting. It is hard to tell from the pic but the two singles on the outsides are each 165+ inch sides...... about 360" class bulls.

    The other side

Good job!! Too bad the base and eye guard got chewed. Great to have both sides though, very little deductions eh???
  19. Coues 'n' Sheep

Any sheds while hunting this past weekend?

Good for you! Congrats. But....looks like a white horn...not a brownie. No biggie.....good find anyhow!

    Snow lion hunts

Congrats, Josh on a good weekend of "kitty killin' ". That is 100 more deer for us to kill this year!!!!

    San Carlos Spring Bear?

It is really not my recipe... it is my Bro-in-law's. You put several different meats in the pit.... bear, turkey, pork, elk, deer, or what ever.... but I think the fatty meats help the leaner meats to be more juicy and it kinda mixes the flavors. Sorry, I have never hunted the Res. but I have glassed bears up there from the unit 28 side....

    In market for new bow

Not a Prostaff-er...... I have a friend that is a PSE pro shooter and he struggles with the AR bows....(I woop him when we shoot ) they are very fast but they are not forgiving..... meaning you have to have flawless form to shoot well down range. One of my shooting Partners, shoots for Hoyt out of one of the Phx shops and he made me shoot several different Hoyt bows before I made my decision to buy the Switchback. Granted.... The AR's and the Hoyt's shoot FAST.... but speed is not that important to me.... I have shot bows that wizzing the arrow out there at 300+ Ft per sec. and for target shooting that is GREAT. But in a hunting situation..... 280-288 ft per second seems to deliver a much more forgiving shot down range. You have to not only test bows for comfort, but also for how accurate they are with your form. If you feel that a certain bow you have tested makes you an instantly better shot then you might have found the right bow...... meaning test each bow with as many arrows as you can. I have no idea what kind of hunting/shooting you intend to do with this bow, but keep this in mind....... if you can't consistantly hit a 1" dot on a target at 20 yds......... you won't hit a paper plate size target at 80-90 yds...... Good luck, again.

    San Carlos Spring Bear?

Hey, does anyone want to donate a Hind Quarter of their spring bear to me for a house warming party I am throwing???? I am gonna build a Pit at my new house and I think Bear meat makes a great addition to the party. Thanks.

What the #*@% does that mean??? I only speak a de English.....

    In market for new bow

There are some really great bows on the market now..... I have owned and shot High Country, Martin, and Mathews bows. I am a Mathews guy all the way..... The Switchback is the best bow that I have Ever shot. It is wickedly true and forgiving as far down range as you can shoot...70,80,90,...110+ yds if you dare. I bought my Switchback as a back up to my old faithfull Q2 XL last spring and it quickly became my #1 bow. I shot several Hoyt bows and had a real dislike for the "hand shock" they deliver.... I also shot a few other brands and still felt that the Switchback had it all. If budget is an issue...... Bow Tech is in my opinion one of the best and most under rated bows on the market today. The BT line has a bow for everyone at a price that is a little less painful than a Mathews... Good luck....
