    Scope ring suggestions

    I just purchased a Vortex Viper 6.5-20x50mm (30mm tube) for my Remington 700 XCR chambered in 300 WSM. I already have Leupold standard 2 piece mounts on the rifle with a Leupold VXII 4-12x40 (1" tube) so i'll need to change out the rings. My question is, will i need to get the Standard High rings or will the Standard medium rings work? If anyone has any experience with this type of setup I'd really like your input.
