Ruger American Compact 243- in Phx Sunday

Recommended Posts

Was wife's for a while then used as a loner/trainer for some other ladies and kids.  I opened up the forend a bit and filled it with JB Weld to stiffen the stock and eliminate the warping/barrel contact these rifles are known for.   Barrel remains free floated all the way to the action.  Shoots great with multiple loads.  Photo of 4 shots with caliper at 0.800" is some old Federal blue box 100gn flat base soft point ammo.  The .065 three shot group is a hand loaded 85gn speer btsp.  Also shoots a 58gn v-max hand load sub moa.  This rifle has filled every tag it's been hunted with!  Buck in last photo dropped where he stood at 280 yards with 1 shot of the 100gn Federal ammo.

Rifle with one mag and Talley rings $400

I can add a Burris droptine 3-9×40 with bdc reticle and 40 rounds of the old Federal 100gn ammo for additional $100(only for buyer of this rifle)

Would consider trade for Remington 870 20 gauge with interchangeable chokes.

Located in Dewey/Mayer for ftf.  Can meet along I-17 at Cordes Junction or 17/169.
