Located in PHX but will be all over the state the next few weeks. Azshooter Report post Posted September 25 For the rifle looneys, the Tikka shank thread is the same as a Ruger and Winchester push feed 1" - 16 TPI. The shank is shorter for both the Ruger and Win. so some simple facing gets the barrel to fit. As to headspace that depends on the chamber reamer. The easiest thing is to use a larger reamer that cleans up the entire chamber. I recently added a Tikka barrel to a Ruger tanger and changed the 25-06 chamber to 257 Weatherby. Inexpensive fun if you have a lathe. Tikka barrels are hammer forged and are very smooth inside. No reamer marks will be seen on the lands and grooves like you see with Remington hammer forged barrels. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
