krp Report post Posted Monday at 03:06 PM The Pentax DCF SP and even the DCF WP before it were fantastic glass for a much cheaper price than the Alfa's, made in Japan. Too bad Pentax was sold and these binos were discontinued. The 8x32 is a gem especially, I've killed a bunch of animals with mine, I have 3 pair and only need two for myself and grandson. The 12.5 is better than the original Razor everyone had to have. Anyway here's a chance to upgrade from your diamondbacks and even Vipers, Leupold, monarchs, nikons... there's no sleeper 500.00 glass anymore, it's meh or alfa. Glass is clean and good in all of these. Pentax DFC SP 12.5x50... body has use marks, functions fine... 400.00 Pentax DCF 8x32... comes with bag and strap, used, rub marks on the strap ears... 250.00 Pentax DCF WP II 10x42... predecessor to the SP and really close optically, good shape, bag and strap... 200.00 Pentax DCF CS 10x42... these are a later manufacture after the sale, made in the Philippines, a bit lighter, optical quality as good as the WP, much better than the diamondback you will buy at Scheels... 150.00 Athlon Ares 8x42... bought these from cameraland, used for 1 day scouting, they are fullsized binos and not compact, so if you want a steady full sized 8 it's perfect... 150.00 Also have a Tract 12.5x50... bought new and used for a couple range sessions so lightly used, some people love this bino... 550.00 Prices are the price. East Mesa meet up, 202 and McDowell area. I do have a place in Tonto Basin and do some work in Snowflake/Show Low during the summer. Kent
