Arizona’s largest sportsmen show moves to

University of Phoenix Stadium

All gear, outdoors experts, hands-on experiences and adventures now under one roof

PHOENIX – Feb 8, 2007-- The International Sportsmen’s Exposition (ISE) is heading to Arizona’s newest sports venue, the state-of-the-art University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale.

The seventh annual ISE will be held March 9-11, Friday through Sunday. More than 20,000 outdoor-sports enthusiasts are expected to attend the show. An estimated 400 exhibitors from around Arizona and the world will take part in the three-day expo.

Visitors to the ISE will enjoy the largest gathering all year of outdoor products and services ranging from fishing, hunting and camping gear, to lodges and resorts from around the state, West and world, to product-testing areas, multiple seminar stages, contests and a large Youth Fair.

“Phoenix is one of the fastest-growing cities in the U.S., and many newcomers want to explore the outdoors in Arizona and the Southwest,” said Brian Layng, ISE CEO and president. “The ISE is the best place to meet face-to-face with and get to know lodge and resort owners, and guides and outfitters. At the same time, attendees can learn from the very best local, regional and national experts at one of the expo’s many interactive venues or seminar stages,” added Layng.

Top experts in the field

Seasoned sportsmen will take notice of the roster of experts attending this year’s event. Outdoor-survival guru Greg Davenport, a regular on national news programs, highlights a deep group of experienced professionals including fly-fishing legends Dave Whitlock and Jack Dennis, outdoor-magazine editors and television hosts Chad Schearer, Guy Eastman and Cameron Hanes, Arizona-based author Bob Robb, as well as local fishing experts Terry and Wendy Gunn, Margie Anderson, Mark Kile, Rob Vander koi, Art Chamberlin and Tony Sarkis.

“The ISE has everything an expert might be looking for, yet is perhaps even more rewarding to the newcomer to Arizona or beginning outdoor enthusiast,” said Layng. “It’s a great family event, where traditions are passed along to the next generation,” he added.

Latest gear

The newest “toys” for on-the-water, in-the-field and on or off-the-road also will be available. The ISE includes huge product selections of specially priced gear from local fishing, hunting and outdoor retailers, product-manufacturer displays, as well as recreational and sport-utility vehicles, plus sportfishing boats.
