Huntmoore Report post Posted March 9, 2015 Great hunt no matter what you decide about guide. I've hunted the past two years on that hunt (Early Rifle 23/23N). My dad and I drew two 23N tags in 2013 with 4 BPs...cousin drew it last year (all of 23) with 0 BPs. What a hunt....be patient. You will see tons of animals. If you want something really special, hire a guide. If you'd be happy with a 17 year wait ending with a 320-350 bull, do DIY. Like I said, either way you're going to have the time of your life... If you get drawn, let me know. I spent a lot of time up there and got some great info from the WM for the unit....glad to hep out!

If the WM showed you where to shoot 320 bulls on the 23 early rifle hunt he wasn't showing you much. 320 bulls could be killed in any hunt in the state. You don't need a guide in 23 for a big bull. Just put your time in.
