How does the zeiss compare to the vx5 in terms of clarity and lowlight?

Glass is so close it is hard to tell-- the zeiss is Illuminated, the VX5HD is not- the reticle in the Leupold is finer as well. The leupold lends itself to target shooting out to 800... the Zeiss shines as a hunting scope- slightly thicker but still 1 moa hash marks.
