I sort of smiled when I read this because of an experience I once had which was just the opposite. Circa mid-1960s, Sam Dudley and I were hunting spring turkey atop Cibecue Ridge on the WM reservation. I killed my tom the first morning, so while Sam continued to hunt for his bird, I went to a place where I had seen fresh lion tracks and started calling with the Circe jackrabbit call I recently sold here.
