Brady Bryce and Kevin Smithson hunted together during the late whitetail hunt in Unit 31.
They saw this buck Saturday morning and couldn’t do anything where he was at. They went back in there Monday morning and found him for just a second and he walked out of sight. Then they decided to take a chance and walk right where they last saw him, not knowing where he went to. They got where they wanted to be and started glassing. Then they saw a little buck up on top and after a few minutes saw this buck and decided to take him. They ranged him at 285 yards. Kevin Smithson downed him with one shot. He was shooting a .300 Weatherby Magnum Loaded with 165 Grain Nosler Ballistic tips. Kevin is very happy with this buck. He scored right at 100 inches.
